There's plenty of time to sign players. Don't worry about being prepared. Like Paul said, the new boss will have players lined up anyway. I'm sure he knows who he wants to bring in, he won't take the job and then decide it's time to write up a shortlist. He'll be ready to start working on new players as soon as it's confirmed.
