Wolves are close to agreeing a deal with Reims for Marshall Munetsi. The 28yr-old Zimbabwe international has been a regular in Ligue 1 for five seasons and targeted to bolster Vitor Pereira's midfield.

Never heard of this one, is he any good? Wolves allegedly chasing several others, however, if they're any good other clubs are always reportedly'interested' or 'monitoring the situation' and we all know how that ends.

Why can't we just go in and buy the players' they want without leaving the back door open for others? Very often an extra £1M or so seals or steals the deal.

Perhaps Marshall can come in and marshall the midfield as it were! Also if he happens to be as good as his former teammate Agbadou then we may become very good friends with Stade de Reims!

The players we bring in LMW firstly and foremost have to believe in 'The Project'??. Apologies but couldn't resist.

I hear what you say, Long, and agree with your sentiments. But I run a business where we buy and sell rare articles, and we often lose out at the last minute after making the highest bid. We bid high for something, think we've got it, but the seller sometimes uses our bid to extract more money on top from a competitor. Leaves a bad feeling. That's business I suppose, but so is football these days.

That'll be 'Project Survival' then Blackfords. I understand what you're saying Deep but I doubt that Wolves are making the 'highest bid' which is why I said they seem to leave the door open, twice in three transfers now.

Is there anything as a gentleman's agreement anymore? because danso etc don't understand one.
We can't go on trust anymore everything has to be binding.
Danso went to the highest payer, surely we want a player who wants to be here.

Not in football these days Abbey but again why chase a player who's happy to behave like that or in truth, doesn't want to come here.

Matheus Nunes springs to mind but at least City fans aren't impressed by him either.

Abbey a 75k a week difference in salary would put anyone in a bit of a bind tbh. Though I would agree you need to get signatures quickly in the lark. I have to say having read all there is we are better off without Danso clearly he didn't really want to come to us. You know what with Shi and the last few years I'm not convinced I'd want to work for him either!
