A good look at all players out on loan is needed, but only if they can be recalled in the current window. I know we're disappointed with incomings, but to my mind, keeping Cunha for the rest of the season is as good as three average new signings, because he can score against any team. Cunha's job now is to have a cracking run till May, keep us up, get his value way, way up, and see how things are then.
If Jack the Flop Grealish can command £100 mil, who knows how much Cunha could be worth?

He is not good enough. He has had issues in the past with behavior also.

Problem is Deep that there is only so much one player can do. As good as Cunha is he can't out score every team we play. If we don't have the defenders to compete at set pieces and therefore continue to let soft goals in every other game then we will also continue to struggle to compete.

Fancy giving Bastien Mayupanu a chance then

Wd don't know the ins and outs of cunhas new contract but there is a 60 mil release clause. I guess what will happen is we will get to the end of the season and multiple clubs will offer the release fee and he will leave

Possibly Gary, although the very fact that two managers now have chosen to play Doherty out of position as cb despite having May availble (at different times around his injury) would suggest that both managers think he's got work to do before he's ready? As I've said before, how many Prem clubs regularly start 18 year olds at cb? I can't think of any to be honest. And before peeps give it 'good enough, old enough' I'm not sure it's that simple at cb in the Prem, cause you also have to be big/physical enough as well ?

There is one I can think of though he's not really a centre back. Spurs Archie Gray he's been playing there for weeks though Danso will probably replace him. Generally 18 year olds don't have the physicality to be able to play there in Gray's case he's done quite well though results probably wouldn't agree with me until today maybe!

Good call on Archie Gray Ken, he looks like a real prospect. Although I think he's more of a DMF than a CB which is probs why Spurs have got Danso in. It's a fair shout though ? As for Pond Abbey I'd like to see more of him but equally think it would probs be better for his development if we sign a Prem ready CB and try to send him to the Champ on loan ?
