I don't know who the new Manager/Head Coach will be but it seems apparent that Shi and Sellars are the cause of the reluctance to join so is the solution to:

A: Allow Shi and Sellars to appoint the next manager knowing that they are the issue, or

B: Remove Shi and Sellars immediately, keep Davis in post until the World Cup and hope the new people can convince the right manager to join us.

Shi is not the problem, it is Sellars, this guy is not a competant football person, he is certainly not commercially astute, if Jeff is to be blamed for anything it is for not outing this catastrophic layabout.Show some leadership Jeff and clear out Sellars please.

I'd be happy to keep Davis for now. He has managerial experience albeit not in the top flight and he bleeds old gold.
also seeing as Lage was brought in to supposedly give youth a chance. I'd argue Davis has done more of this by playing Hodge, Bueno and Gomes than Lage was doing by over looking these to play players out of position. He's maybe not the long term solution but in an interim role I think he can improve relationships within the camp.

Ultimately it's about getting the players scoring. Defensively we still aren't that bad and no teams are hammering us. I know it's not as easy as it sounds but movement and final ball and freekicks and corners would get a few more points on the board and make all the difference at the end of the season.

Also to add if it were me I'd keep Davis in the interim to allow time to bring in a manager and a DoF. But Davis should be kept on the backroom staff if he wants to stay. With a DoF Sellars could be moved on and the same with Shi unless he moves back further behind the scenes to work within the business / commercial side of things where he is actually useful and away from the footballing side.

Alex yes keep Davis and keep looking, let's see how Saturday plays out, we're not detached yet and the side may gel together but do need to start putting contingencies in place for a soft landing into Championship football if the worst comes to the worst.

Alex, the big question is, who actually wants to come here? There must be a reason why Beale turned us down. He's said it's too early for him and if that is how he feels, then that's fine but Wolves now have played their cards by coming out and saying Lopetegui was the Number 1 choice but as he wasn't in a position to take it on, Beale became the target. Whoever comes in now will know that they weren't the preferred choice.

Have Shi and Sellars shown their ineptitude by saying who the preferred choice was.

Quite possibly Jas. Was same when Nuno went to Spurs as something like 10th choice. He was on a hiding to nothing from day one. realistically anyone well rated especially by fans will want a club playing European football. Seems to me it's a similar situation as to attracting players in terms of competitions playing in, attractiveness of the local area, money offered to come.

yes yes and yes, Jeff is a very astute commercial man, his naivity was first brought to bear with the heavy reliance on Mendes, nothing really wrong with that however Georgie was lining his pockets with our business. Sellars on the other hand is lining his pockets with our demise and the demise of some very good players, we need a change of DOF that will support an incoming manager/coach with youth and talent sourced from Compton and a great scouting network.

As I've said before I had no problem with Shi and Sellars when they were doing the jobs they have a back ground in. The issues have started because they seem to have decided that one academy manager + one chairman = a Director of Football/Technical Director and Head of marketing! I don't actually blame Sellars cause he's just doing the job he's been asked to. I do blame Jeff cause he oversaw the removal of Dalrymple, Hayward and Thelwell with zero effort to replace them! The stupidity and arrogance in deciding to save money on THOSE roles is genuinely shocking! So yeah to a answer your question Jas I would go for option B. Never going to happen though, I fear the current demise is a bigger reflection of the real problem in that for Fosun we seem to have gone from a very real marketing vehicle when they bought us to what today just feels like an exspensive foible which I'm pretty sure they are just keeping until the sale price is right ?

Nothing adds up for me.
Fosun spent a very lot of money and chose Shi and Sellars if they are that inept why are they still in their jobs?
Are Fosun putting their huge investment in our club at risk?
Well if Shi and Sellars or sellars alone are what a huge amount of fans are saying then fosun surely will replace.

The manager search I'm.kickung myself for getting pulled in by media with the assumption Beale was a cert to be announced our new manager.
Shi our club I'm not aware of any statements regarding Beale is the number one choice it's just media reporters.
I think if there is enough fans unrest the club will issue a statement of reassurance.
I know it's not a good time with poor poor form but also have to look at our players especially all the attacking players podence whang Adama terrible terrible low stats with goals and assists.
Jiminez Neto yes had long-term injuries but the games played missed chances wrong decision making all of our forward players.
These players are all top notch quality but on the pitch our goals for is woeful.
This addressed by manager but a lot has to be addressed by the players themselves.
Facts don't lie.
The last 2 years we have had lots and lots of too many guilt edged chances missed.
The amount of distaste towards shi and sellars what about our multi million.pound wealthy players who need pampering and managed?
