With the Big signing of Podence it does feel eased in terms of frustration. Something could yet happen though.

Like we have seen unlikely. Maybe it's time for some of the u23s to start taking more of a forward role. And have a chance. First team quality is what we ideally need. But those lads are all good young bodies that will come in and want to work their socks off. Sod it if knowone else comes. Unpopular opinion I'm sure.

After a poor summer window having both our big signings having already left and now only one first team player coming in when Nuno clearly wanted a few additions you've got to start thinking our head of recruitment needs looking at, without our mendes link getting Podence through the door we could have seen no one come in. Luckily we have a great team and manager but just hope nuno doesn't get fed up and leave in the summer after being let down in the last two windows.

He is only looking to strengthen, to add quality, not just quantity.
Personally I think it has been a good window for business.
Some will spout on about a striker but how many teams are looking for one at this very moment? Probably all of the Premier League.
Be satisfied and back the club.

I do get wound up with this old 'Nunos been let down' line because it pretends to know how someone feels when we have not a clue! He wanted signings well we got 4 of um and all exciting prospects. I think the thing that annoys me with the line is that it assumes Nuno isn't calling the shots when I seriously suspect that he is! It's him that has a preferences for small squads (always has) because he likes to keep players happy and he knows that's not possible with big teams. I admit to being surprised by Bennett but by the sound of it the player pushed for the move so that pretty much explains it. I wonder if Nuno thinks between Jordao amd Lodice we will have cover in the middle of the park thus allowing Saiss and Donks to continue as defensive cover?

I wouldn’t worry about CB. We’ve got Boly, Kilman, Coady, Saiss and Dendonker. Good window in my opinion, class player in Podence, and some great youth players.

Benno is a better defender than Donk but I think Donk plays Nuno's type of football, working the ball forward and good for moving up to the box for set pieces.

In an old school 442, Benno would be a regular right CB without a doubt.

I hope he gets game time at Leicester. They seem to be doing pretty well with the squad they've got so he's probably there for cover rather than seriously competing for a place. But that's what we thought at Wolves when he joined us as a freebie with Ruddy.

They've only bought him cause they want there player who wasn't playing to go out and get game time (Benkovic) so I think they'll only see him as back up. But your quite right he would be better in a 442 cause it's the passing he struggles with in our system 👍.
