Well we wanted Re gone so it's done. I'm happy. Really didn't work out; better to get a new man in. Hopefully he's like Nuno mark2 and we attract some of the Portuguese stars again, getting us playing with more attacking intensity.

It's a strange one in terms of timing. Nathan Shi has clearly decided to take a different direction. Whether it works or not, who knows. Was Edwards the right appointment last season? No. Was he the best amongst slim pickings? Maybe. Could he have done enough in the Championship? Maybe.

It just seems odd, after Trippier and Raul have signed, to do it on the eve of the World Cup. Things must have been happening behind the scenes for a while, and now the club have what they see as a better option ready to go, Edwards is out.

I expect the new manager will be announced today, and the plan is to show the club have some sort of plan. Whether it's successful, let's wait and see. It definitely isn't boring being a Wolves fan (except watching some of the sideways passing of previous regimes).
