A more favourable set of opening fixtures on the whole, so there can't be any excuses to not build any momentum - or even win any of the opening 9 games. Still have to play everyone twice of course, but need to be aiming for more than an average point per game from those first 9 fixtures or we're in for another difficult year.

Hope it ends up like the opening fixture of the 1662/63 season. Saw it with my own eyes with a rampaging Ted Farmer back from injury. A few games on and Trds injury resurfaced and eventually took his more than promising career. A real tragedy. Oh the result -Wolves8 Man City 1.

{Ed001's Note - omg how old are you?}

Well was 9 at the time. Have children and grandchildren all educated to be Wolves fans. My youngest sister however produced a Villa fan! Reported it to Social services but they didn’t want to know?! Have a sister 15 years older still a Wolves fan who remembers the best team in the world (Honved) times.

{Ed001's Note - in 1662? Wow, I am impressed you can use technology. My dad can't manage this and he is only in his 70s but it is painful watching him trying to type a text.}

Didn't quite get to see Ted Farmer in the flesh, Frome, but my brother reckoned he would have gone on to be the best striker we've ever had. Look at his goalscoring record, all in the top flight, and you can see why.
