Report from Nigeria that we have a new defender possibly on the way. Kenneth Omeruo from Chelsea. Never played for them been out on loan including Middleborough for 30 games in the championship. Can play right back or centre. Described as tall and rangy. Sounds like Iorfa replacement, hope this is not to do with attitude.

1.) 15 Jul 2017 08:50:13
3mill thay say.

2.) 15 Jul 2017 09:16:52
Yes I saw that 23 year old close to having medical but might stay and fight for his place 3mill been at Chelsea since 2013 hope he's better than the last one they sold us.

3.) 15 Jul 2017 09:27:34
Looks very athletic, good signing if true. Boro fans say good things about him when he was on loan there. 😀😀😀.

4.) 15 Jul 2017 10:21:15
Need 2 strikers I think we made a mistake not signings weidemann.

5.) 15 Jul 2017 12:05:58
Bewdley. Agree we need 2 strikers but Weimann not quite good enough. He will probably hook up with Lambert somewhere, and he did well enough with Lambert at Villa in the PL. Weimann is similar to Jon Bodi in that he works his socks off without a commensurate return in goals scored. They would both suit Mick's style at Ipswich. I think Fosun are aiming higher.

6.) 15 Jul 2017 12:56:37
Agreed I have always respected players that work hard even if they have limited natural ability, if they have both then good, think Fosun are looking at players with above average ability and let Nuno and his staff instill the ethics and workrate.

7.) 15 Jul 2017 14:20:45
Don't know how true it is but wolves are after loic remy on loan would be a fantastic signing but don't think he would come.

8.) 15 Jul 2017 14:25:22
Loric Remy on season loan has been reported.

9.) 15 Jul 2017 15:16:18
Wow. hope so. what about wesley sneider for a season. he's just left galatasary.

10.) 15 Jul 2017 15:32:00
According to the sun paper, Reading only paid £750,000 for bodvarsson don't now if that's right.

11.) 15 Jul 2017 18:15:24
Because you pay for goals.

12.) 15 Jul 2017 18:40:16
Unfortunately Bod's worth probably went down in value at Wolves. He came to us on the back of a certain reputation from a good goal against England. He ran around a lot for us and huffed and puffed. Definitely put a shift in, probably time and a half. But, we need strikers to score like they do at the top teams, by almost passing the ball into the net. Less effort, more skill. Nuno knows that.

13.) 16 Jul 2017 10:23:20
We have got rid of three forwards now you would have thought we would have had least one player lined up.

14.) 16 Jul 2017 13:46:05
According to Nigeria papers Kenneth omeruo joining wol Moro from Chelsea for 3mill and having medical another defender sounds a really good signing.

15.) 16 Jul 2017 15:47:12
Being linked with Negrado again. Nunos Valencia connection.

12 Jul 2017 10:05:30
Does anybody know if Niall Ennis has been training with the first team squad or is he still considered way off being ready. Still only eighteen I know but so is Ronan. Hope he doesn't get sidelined.

1.) 12 Jul 2017 16:04:45
Should seriously be considered!

{Ed047's Note - I will try and find out for you.

2.) 13 Jul 2017 11:17:53
victory v, Ennis played and scored against Bala last night in a 3-1 win.

15 May 2017 22:45:33
So Karanka linked because he is a Mendes client. Does that mean he will have to accept every player signing that Mendes forces on him. Clearly he didn't have to accept that at Boro will he accept it now?

1.) 15 May 2017 23:24:11
Wot you mean. do you won't to look at wolves' what players are on his books' you be shocked 3.

2.) 16 May 2017 01:32:47
I think due to the fact the last 3 years he's got them in play offs twice, automatically promoted I think he will be aloud 2-3 of his own and tbh I won't mind karanka as watching the football he played in the championship I think he do well and I think you have to judge him on the championship tbh and worry about prem when you get there.

3.) 16 May 2017 04:37:21
Karanka is good friends with Mourinho, another Mendes client. Nice if he sent Carrick our way.

4.) 16 May 2017 08:24:00
Hopefully, if appointed, he doesn't give some of our players a chance to impress. i. e. Saville, Price, Evans, Gladon. At least PL (hopefully) has an idea about who is the deadwood at the club and can act accordingly. Particularly as he has already expressed his desire to trim the squad down.

5.) 16 May 2017 10:13:45
you say this surreywolf, but I have to disagree with Lambert knowing who the deadwood is as he loves Saville.

08 Dec 2016 22:43:38
Rumours persist about McCormack but if there is any truth you have to question why Villa want to sell so quickly. He must have pocketed a lot of down from his moves already. Does he still have the hunger. Not for me thanks.

1.) 08 Dec 2016 23:42:02
I think it's because Kodija is the preferred striker and McCormack doesn't want to sit on the bench. Apparently he has been told that he is not in Steve Bruce's long term plans.

2.) 09 Dec 2016 05:59:27
Millwall are apparently into Jed Wallace according to newsnow.

3.) 09 Dec 2016 11:53:04
McCormack would certainly be an upgrade on what we've got at the moment, plus Rhodes and Lewis Dunk, these are the kind of players we must buy if Fosun are serious about us getting to the Premier league.

4.) 09 Dec 2016 11:58:09
I see we've got over 4.5k allocation for Stoke at 20 quid a ticket. Surely we will sell that out! On a Saturday at 3pm 👍👍👍.

5.) 09 Dec 2016 12:02:07
Palace have been told to cough up £10m for Dunk.

6.) 09 Dec 2016 13:06:21
As I said he's the kind of quality we need, so start buyin these sort of players or stay in this league indefinately! The choice is Fosuns?

7.) 09 Dec 2016 15:22:53
Lots of rumours, lots of good quality players names mentioned, lots of optimism. However, realistically, if the players clubs will let them go is another question altogether?! Never mind the cost.! No one wants to sell their best players do they? Just being realistic. We may get one or two, but, that is probably all. We need all of the players mentioned to move this tanker forward that's for sure. We must at least string a few wins together now that I'm sure we would all agree. 👍😉.

8.) 10 Dec 2016 11:42:19
If McCormack is not in Villa's plans he could be a good buy for us as a means to help get promoted. That's if he still has the motivation. Beyond that I don't think he would cut it in the PL but you never know. Just look at Austin, Long and Deeney, they have all made the transition.

31 Aug 2016 22:10:22
Henry gone to Bolton on loan.

1.) 01 Sep 2016 09:09:04
Someone else to score against us!

2.) 01 Sep 2016 09:22:39
Doubt it Euroman- they're in a totally different league!

3.) 01 Sep 2016 10:36:20
. and even if they were in the same division loanees cannot play against their contract club.

4.) 01 Sep 2016 11:52:23
Yes they can North Bank but most loaning clubs put a no play stipulation in the loan terms.

5.) 01 Sep 2016 13:59:57
er van la parra?

6.) 01 Sep 2016 14:19:25
RVLP has been bought by Huddersfield. He's their player now.

7.) 01 Sep 2016 15:51:46
VLP left on a Permanent at the end of last season.

8.) 01 Sep 2016 15:52:18
My bad, Lowwolf. Yes, of course.

It could be that some of the other transfers are happening to show that Mendes is not the only agent sourcing players. Whether they are really potential first team players or just squad members time will tell. Don't really know what it has to do with anyone outside the club what role Mendes has. Clearly our owners are fully aware of the situation. I would expect Nuno to flag up if Mendes was trying to push a dud and as an employee of Fosun it wouldn't be in Mendes long term interest to push a dud. So only other person who could suffer is the player if he is pushed into a bad deal. Can't see Mendes risking his reputation on that, but the Boly situation shows he has to be careful.

02 Jul 2017 18:08:59
Got to go on record as confirming that Paul from Tamworth was absolutely right when he said that there were positives to the Mendes connection. I haven't agreed with everything he has said in the past but he was absolutely nailed on right with this. How many times in the past would the likes of Villa Derby Fulham QPR Reading and Leeds have stepped in and taken quality potential signings off us at the last minute, just like taking sweets off a kid. Yes I know the big signing is still to land and Fosun money talks loudly. But it needs more than that to close the deal. Mendes was the difference in getting Nuno and the two of them are the difference in landing the players that really matter.

27 May 2017 11:54:01
Can only guess that Lambert took a stand in January that he wanted control over transfers during that window. If so he created a contest with Mendes that he was never going to win unless he got us promoted. Lambert could maybe influence Jeff Shi but Mendes could influence Fosun. So Mendes wins and has final say on transfers. The coach will be accountable for results but will Mendes be accountable? My hope for the future is that Mendes and Santo work together to build an attacking sure, they should be able to as they are mates. My further hope for the future is that we build around Bright Ronan and Graham even though they are not Mendes signings. Good luck Santo the page has turned and you've got my full backing.

1.) 27 May 2017 15:18:46
My hope is Fosun wake up and smell the coffee where Mendes involvement is concerned. He's a football agent, not a coach or manager and that is where his responsibility should end. Bring players to the clubs attention but let the manager/ coach decide if the player fits into his teams jigsaw. Then he can fox trot Oscar until he is required to look out for another piece of the jigsaw! Just my opinion, and I suspect if you asked all club managers you'd get the same sort of response! Football manager aren't agents are they?

2.) 27 May 2017 15:40:11
Blimey Wolvescoast do you ever have anything positive to say. We have one of the worlds richest companys who own us, the worlds best football agents who has 100 players at his disposal, & still not good enough for some. Maybe we should bring moxey and morgan back to make you happy. Have faith in Mendez and Fosun. Wolves are biting back.

God Bless🙏🙏🙏.

3.) 27 May 2017 16:20:35
Time will tell. Hope I'm wrong. 👍😉.

20 May 2017 07:18:53
So if Lambert has gone are we really sounding out players and if so who is deciding which players we talk to and who is talking to them. If we are talking to Watkins at Barnsley then that must be Thelwell not Mendes. Reports say that Norwich are also interested in Watkins so does Lambert have a quiet word and tell him not to sign anything yet. Have Mendes and Thelwell agreed they can sign three players each but keep it a surprise then find out they've both signed the same player but both of them forgot to get a left back. Have Fosun decided to let Thelwell talk to anyone he likes just to keep him and the E&S happy. But that he can't sign them yet. Then in a couple of weeks say they forgot to tell Thelwell that he's sacked and Mendes is bringing in eight new Portuguese players.

Norwich journalist has denied we are talking to Norwich about Oliveira. Tom Lawrence is going to Derby for 10 million, would have been a decent signing.

Classic story of young potential never given a chance to settle with constant loans to different clubs and countries. With Portuguese coaching staff and high quality players around him he will never get a better chance to make his name. If it goes through this is his chance to establish himself in the top level. But don't expect him to play alongside Dicko or any other striker.

Well if Holloway is a fan he has a strange way of showing it. All I remember of his comments during televised matches was stuff about not communicating and not concentrating. He did also say he was part of a young defence. Maybe he sees potential.

Derbyshire are still spending and bringing in Tom Lawrence and Huddleston seems pretty good business. Weiman and Chris Martin are back but Ince and Will Hughes has gone. Rosetta will get them organised and they will be a threat. My thoughts on other playoffs contenders are Villa Boro Norwich and Fulham. Sunderland still seem in freefall. But our squad should match up to all these with one or two strikers.

My understanding was that we have never actually enquired about Keano coming back. Don't think we'll start now.

Selection will be very interesting. I hope there is a clean slate for everyone, whether they were a Nuno/ Mendes signing or not. There will be a contest for all positions but particularly right wingback, left wing, and midfield alongside Neves.

I this k Wednesfield was just using Millwall as an example of the type of matches you get to face in the Championship. Example that most often seems to be used is Barnsley away midweek in February. I think yours is a better example Wednesfield, I would much rather go to Barnsley than Milwall. Beer is better an less health risks. I do think you are mistaken about Juno's reason for leaving Porto - I understand it was more being pushed than his choice. But whatever! I think it's time to get off Wednesfield's case, he clearly is a true wolf!

Ed not sure this link is really in the right place here, but as long as it is I would suggest everyone has a quick read. It's very interesting to see a slightly different view on how well Silva did in his time at Hull. Clearly overall did a good job, but the signings were not all successful. Shows the scale of the job involved to succeed in a new country with new players in a short timescale. Let's hope for patience calm and positive support as we go forward.

{Ed001's Note - it is just because Wolves are mentioned, a link automatically generates on the site. Ed033 is going to set up a way for me to see a list of all the sites it will generate links on, so that I can remove those superflous links in time by just unticking a box, but he has not got round to it yet.}
