If Bony is the Llorente replacement it looks like no move for Oliveira. Could that deal still be on.

31 Aug 2017 20:15:56
Faint hope that the Locadia deal could be saved with extra cash, as looks like their sporting director could be playing games. Not sure how I feel about coughing up more cash, wouldn't blame Jeff for walking away if they think they have us over a barrel.

{Ed047's Note - It's looking very much off as it stands}.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 20:29:31
Locadia is still in negotiations is what I've just heard.,
Fingers crossed. will it be the end of the world anyway if he doesn't? I'm not convinced.
we should go all out for afobe. he would thrive on costa and jota.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 20:35:40
We need to pay the money or we will be in a mess also I'd cancel Graham deal.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 20:35:56
Told you 2 days ago we were in the rubbish but as always everyone else knows better!

31 Aug 2017 19:51:11
Oh good grief the pot is shrinking. Whose left? Logic Remy, Jordan Rhodes, Joel Campbell?

17 Aug 2017 17:40:21
Movement seems to be shifting back towards Adobe. No substantial source but several gossip sites.

1.) 17 Aug 2017 19:21:41
Reader or photo shop?

2.) 17 Aug 2017 19:34:04
Reader I think lol - bloody predictive text.

3.) 17 Aug 2017 21:06:20
Adobe would certainly add some acrobat to things.

4.) 17 Aug 2017 21:25:20
Adobe flash player? Not for this browser. Delete.

5.) 17 Aug 2017 23:06:14
I think they will buy a striker they can make money on if we don't go up investment.

6.) 17 Aug 2017 23:50:29
He's only being linked because peeps/ journos lack imagination! There's has never been a single sign or suggestion that I've seen to this day that the lad would even wanna rejoin?! let's be honest he never showed much love for the place did he?! Used to be the same with Robbie Keane in his later years, with EVERY single move 'why don't we bring Robbie back? '. uh probably because when the chance came both couldn't get out of the door quick enough! Good riddance I say, we don't need pay check passengers in this wolf pack!

Report from Nigeria that we have a new defender possibly on the way. Kenneth Omeruo from Chelsea. Never played for them been out on loan including Middleborough for 30 games in the championship. Can play right back or centre. Described as tall and rangy. Sounds like Iorfa replacement, hope this is not to do with attitude.

1.) 15 Jul 2017 08:50:13
3mill thay say.

2.) 15 Jul 2017 09:16:52
Yes I saw that 23 year old close to having medical but might stay and fight for his place 3mill been at Chelsea since 2013 hope he's better than the last one they sold us.

3.) 15 Jul 2017 09:27:34
Looks very athletic, good signing if true. Boro fans say good things about him when he was on loan there. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€.

4.) 15 Jul 2017 10:21:15
Need 2 strikers I think we made a mistake not signings weidemann.

5.) 15 Jul 2017 12:05:58
Bewdley. Agree we need 2 strikers but Weimann not quite good enough. He will probably hook up with Lambert somewhere, and he did well enough with Lambert at Villa in the PL. Weimann is similar to Jon Bodi in that he works his socks off without a commensurate return in goals scored. They would both suit Mick's style at Ipswich. I think Fosun are aiming higher.

6.) 15 Jul 2017 12:56:37
Agreed I have always respected players that work hard even if they have limited natural ability, if they have both then good, think Fosun are looking at players with above average ability and let Nuno and his staff instill the ethics and workrate.

7.) 15 Jul 2017 14:20:45
Don't know how true it is but wolves are after loic remy on loan would be a fantastic signing but don't think he would come.

8.) 15 Jul 2017 14:25:22
Loric Remy on season loan has been reported.

9.) 15 Jul 2017 15:16:18
Wow. hope so. what about wesley sneider for a season. he's just left galatasary.

10.) 15 Jul 2017 15:32:00
According to the sun paper, Reading only paid Β£750,000 for bodvarsson don't now if that's right.

11.) 15 Jul 2017 18:15:24
Because you pay for goals.

12.) 15 Jul 2017 18:40:16
Unfortunately Bod's worth probably went down in value at Wolves. He came to us on the back of a certain reputation from a good goal against England. He ran around a lot for us and huffed and puffed. Definitely put a shift in, probably time and a half. But, we need strikers to score like they do at the top teams, by almost passing the ball into the net. Less effort, more skill. Nuno knows that.

13.) 16 Jul 2017 10:23:20
We have got rid of three forwards now you would have thought we would have had least one player lined up.

14.) 16 Jul 2017 13:46:05
According to Nigeria papers Kenneth omeruo joining wol Moro from Chelsea for 3mill and having medical another defender sounds a really good signing.

15.) 16 Jul 2017 15:47:12
Being linked with Negrado again. Nunos Valencia connection.

Locadia deal is off. Claim to have spoken to his representatives and he is staying in Eindhoven
Please do. not let this be true.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 19:40:34
It's true, 1 recognised striker now, what a mess up, should have kept dicko until a striker had definitely signed.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 20:03:41
Diego costa gone anywhere yet. mmmm.

It could be that some of the other transfers are happening to show that Mendes is not the only agent sourcing players. Whether they are really potential first team players or just squad members time will tell. Don't really know what it has to do with anyone outside the club what role Mendes has. Clearly our owners are fully aware of the situation. I would expect Nuno to flag up if Mendes was trying to push a dud and as an employee of Fosun it wouldn't be in Mendes long term interest to push a dud. So only other person who could suffer is the player if he is pushed into a bad deal. Can't see Mendes risking his reputation on that, but the Boly situation shows he has to be careful.

02 Jul 2017 18:08:59
Got to go on record as confirming that Paul from Tamworth was absolutely right when he said that there were positives to the Mendes connection. I haven't agreed with everything he has said in the past but he was absolutely nailed on right with this. How many times in the past would the likes of Villa Derby Fulham QPR Reading and Leeds have stepped in and taken quality potential signings off us at the last minute, just like taking sweets off a kid. Yes I know the big signing is still to land and Fosun money talks loudly. But it needs more than that to close the deal. Mendes was the difference in getting Nuno and the two of them are the difference in landing the players that really matter.

27 May 2017 11:54:01
Can only guess that Lambert took a stand in January that he wanted control over transfers during that window. If so he created a contest with Mendes that he was never going to win unless he got us promoted. Lambert could maybe influence Jeff Shi but Mendes could influence Fosun. So Mendes wins and has final say on transfers. The coach will be accountable for results but will Mendes be accountable? My hope for the future is that Mendes and Santo work together to build an attacking sure, they should be able to as they are mates. My further hope for the future is that we build around Bright Ronan and Graham even though they are not Mendes signings. Good luck Santo the page has turned and you've got my full backing.

1.) 27 May 2017 15:18:46
My hope is Fosun wake up and smell the coffee where Mendes involvement is concerned. He's a football agent, not a coach or manager and that is where his responsibility should end. Bring players to the clubs attention but let the manager/ coach decide if the player fits into his teams jigsaw. Then he can fox trot Oscar until he is required to look out for another piece of the jigsaw! Just my opinion, and I suspect if you asked all club managers you'd get the same sort of response! Football manager aren't agents are they?

2.) 27 May 2017 15:40:11
Blimey Wolvescoast do you ever have anything positive to say. We have one of the worlds richest companys who own us, the worlds best football agents who has 100 players at his disposal, & still not good enough for some. Maybe we should bring moxey and morgan back to make you happy. Have faith in Mendez and Fosun. Wolves are biting back.

God BlessπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™.

3.) 27 May 2017 16:20:35
Time will tell. Hope I'm wrong. πŸ‘πŸ˜‰.

Not hard to understand the size of the challenge involved in breaking into the Liverpool side. Competing with kids like Trent Alexander, Joe Gomez and Wedburn. Googled Pattie's background and read an article that said Liverpool needed to reduce the youth group from 245.

Platok totally agree that the media circus and blatant falsehoods presented as news around the transfer window is an insult to the hard earned priceless privilege of free press. But the cynic in me wonders if we get the media we deserve. No readers no publication.

Is that the Kevin Kuranyl that is 35 has retired and didn't play at all last season. Les Buxton I wonder if your computer needs updating or you do.

But Ed we put ourselves out on a limb by previously selling Bod and sending Mason out on loan. Not sure how this has happened, but i expect Jeff Shi, Thelwell Dalrymple and Nuno may need to justify how this has happened. Fosun may be a little unhappy if we miss out on promotion when they have made such a significant investment. Hopefully we can redress the situation in January.

{Ed047's Note - True but when your basically assured that a player is signing ie Colback & Locadia than obviously you have to make room for new arrivals}.

Seventeen million for Maguire and fifteen million for Neves. I think I know where I prefer they spend our money.

Not sure what happened with Texeira.
He looked better than Costa at the start of the season even though he only had limited previous experience. Then somewhere before December he just took his bat home. Then he fell off the map here and at Forest. I still think there is a player in there somewhere. Pity Nuno and his team never had a chance to work with him.

South Banker the question of whether to play a specific striker is one that the leading prem clubs have been considering. Based on last season's results Chelsea, Spurs and Man City all succeeded with at least one purpose built striker. Arsenal seem to have accepted the need to bring in a top quality striker and Man U Have upgraded. Liverpool have been unlucky in losing Sturridge and Ings through injury but it seems to prove that the specific skills of a natural finisher are still essential if you want to succeed and I'm sure Nuno will be aware of this.
