Personally, I don't want Boyle or Mickey Mouse or whoever. If we are to make a march in this league at this stage I think we need quality, goal scoring, tried and tested proven players to fill our weak spots in the team! We all know where they are. I don't want more players to make up the numbers. All this means we have to pay for them. ðŸ‘😉

I realise that of course. Just stating as a fan what I would like to see us do! It's what all our successful competition do. Presumably they do it because it works. It improves the team and results. It's results we want and that will enable us to progress isn't it? Of course if we can pickup bargain along the way we should go for it. ðŸ‘😉

Actually that is not true, you have a short memory. If I say AFOBE . he came from Div 1 and look where we ended up. So argument fails.
There are a few in Div 1 to consider:
Taylor - striker - B Rovers
Anderson - midfield - Peterboro
Clough - midfield - Bolton
There are a few more if I stop and think but is it possible to get more "Afobes"?

DerbyWolf. Adobe was on loan in div 1 from arsenal. But I agree that there is plenty of talent in lower leagues. However, I'm more interested in our youngsters for the rest of this season. I say give them a chance here and there for the rest of this season. After all, we won't be going down. The summer window is always the better of the two.
I feel at times some fans can't decide what they want. One minute it's 'give the kids a chance', next minute it's 'the kids aren't good enough, let's spend millions. ' Then when we are bored of the first 11 again after 3 months, it's 'give the kids a chance' again.
I actually love the fact that we have so many youngsters coming through, playing for us, playing for different international age groups. I except their mistakes a lot more than some player we bought for a lump sum. I feel a lot more connected to wolves that way.
Having said that, I've read that messi may come available and has a holiday home in tettenhall.

Couldn't agree more StuuCorbett, to me it sounds as if KJ is in the know that Sako will leave towards deadline day. We desperately need someone like Phillips or Ince as a like for like replacement if this is the case. I'm a little worried that he may play VLP as his replacement, don't get me wrong he looks like a very good signing, but his goal scoring record has a lot to live up to. We can't just rely on Dicko, Afobe and Edwards!

Heard lots of rumours, we're being linked with everyone from Francesco Guidolin to David Moyes, with Pardew, Silva and Ranieri thrown in for good measure. I even read one rumour on Twitter claiming we've spoken to Cesare Prandelli!
But out of all these, Aitor Karanka seems to be the most logical. He's available, he's a Mendes client and he's done it in the Championship before. I guess we'll find out soon enough. I hope anyway.

Don't know why people are jumping to conclusions based on Mendes being in China. He probably is, but Nazon has never played in China and has no links to Chinese football, he played in the Indian league.
We've signed him on an initial 5 month contract where he will go into the U23s on a recommendation from our scouts. If he's any good and what the scouts have seen materialises, we have a further 1 year option. We've taken him on a free and will be paying I would imagine, not a huge sum for his wages.
Stop looking for conspiracy, we've signed unknown players before e.g. Kightly etc and some will work out and some will not.

If he's an investor as part of a consortium in either both or one, then I think that's how you get around it. Only like floating clubs and me buying shares in more than one club across UEFA (different if FA only) . As long as I don't own 50% of the shares in both clubs or have a controlling say in hiring and firing of the majority of directorys in both clubs, then I believe its ok. So the devil is in the detail.
