Q. For those that are disappointed with our transfer window business. Imagine yourself picking the team for the first game of next season.
Who are you leaving out, and who are you bringing in?
When you have your answers perhaps you will reassess your thoughts on the window.

I'd drop Patricio, Doherty, Coady, Moutinho, Jota, Jimenez, Saiss and Jonny and bring in Oblak, Alexander Arnold, De Ligt, Dybala, Mbappe, Salah, Van Dijk and Mane. However, prior to doing this, I'd have had a meeting with SQ to confirm that he is happy that Fosun have shown the required ambition and that pushing us to the verge of bankruptcy is the best policy as buying all these big name players means that we wouldn't have enough money to expand the ground. Oh hold on, if we can't expand the ground, it proves that Fosun lack ambition. That SQ is a financial genius. Why isn't he employed by Fosun?

What a joke motd is not one mention of rubens neves performance. all utd. even solksjar went on pitch to congratulate him at final whistle. from now on motd can #### ### .

Were we playing in that match? I suppose we must have been as there had to be a reason Manure were the second from last match. I did however love the analysis of Maguire going one better than Barra but instead of it being a shirt it was Traore's arm.

Nuno is a magician!
How lucky are we to have him (for now) ?
He remind me of Bobby Robson.
Passionate, humble, not seeking attention but letting his tram do his talking, and boy does he get the best out of his players.
Let's take it to Liverpool. Come on Nuno.

Agree mate but be careful you might get accused of being a united fan. like I did.

2.) 19 Jan 2020 19:45:00
Ya get a accused of all sorts on here mate.

Amazing support yesterday.
Well done to all those that travelled and made a huge noise!

4.) 19 Jan 2020 23:09:57
There's an excellent tram museum at Crich in Derbyshire, exeter. Not sure that they have a talking one, though.

A look at the league shows a massive gap in Goals Difference between third and fourth to tenth.
We are now definitely a top-10 side and we create enough chances but need to super charge our finishing to jump the gap - or not concede ANY goals (but we haven't been stuffed) so it's goals where we need to improve.

Traore has improved his finishing immensely this term as well as providing for others. We need a couple more of those type of player - a Maddison type - and I can see us making that push.
Always Wolves!

1.) 03 Jan 2020 13:39:13
Totally agree with that, I do think with a new attacking midfielder would make a massive difference, it is a important window this one.

2.) 03 Jan 2020 16:45:20
Just let Neves take the free kicks!

3.) 03 Jan 2020 17:47:33
There's always room for improvement - Liverpool hasn't rested on their laurels. I'm not saying X isn't good enough get rid, but there is a case of getting new recruits in to give the established regular players competition. In all reality, anyone here could pick a Wolves starting eleven and be right to about one maybe two players.

Decent cup draw.
Stay clear of the Manchester clubs and Chelsea and there's nobody to fear.

It's one thing beating Liverpool in the third round but from here on teams are in it to win yes we have an easy path to round 6 but as we saw last week playing away against lower league clubs isn't straightforward

Hopefully we will dispose of Shrewsbury at the Mol but Bristol City will be as tough

For what it's worth we are favourites outside of the remaining too 6 clubs to win the cup.

For me, one of the big differences this season from last, is that our wide men are just not firing and finding the net.
Jota, Cav, Douglas, even Costa, scored consistently last season and that saw us through.
We haven't had that this year. Yes the chances may be less frequent, so therefore we need to not waste them - Doc is taking them when they come.
I wonder therefore, whether we will be strengthening in the 'wide man who can score' department rather than the '20 goals a season' department this Jan.

exeterwolf

1.) 02 Dec 2018 17:47:38
While I agree with most of your comments, I do not agree about the Doc, his work rate is very good but his final ball is poor and his finishing is bad. I know he has scored two goals and two assists but he has also missed at least six chances when he has been in on goal, In my opinion, we need two wing backs that carry a goal threat and a goal scorer, not easy to find at this stage of the season.

2.) 02 Dec 2018 17:48:15
Rather like having diarrhoea, Wolves on the slippy-slidey and need a firm wipe - bringing in 2 new central defenders and 2 new forwards.

3.) 02 Dec 2018 22:12:18
In my humble opinion Nuno will sort it given the chance! His biggest mistake was when baking the cake i.e the team, he forgot to really address the need for goal scorers and If you like getting the icing for the cake. Raul is a hard working really good footballer, we need him to play alongside a couple of quality goalscorers! We also need to strengthen the midfield and defence. Just my take on this! I do trust Nuno to get this right. Whether he will be given the time is an altogether different matter!? He’s going to have to develop a plan B! Also be more flexible and adapt accordingly to different situations! The question I guess is will he? I hope so.

⚽️😉👍.

Has VAR got to the point where everyone knows it is a joke? Everyone accepting it rather than challenging it?
Let's see where the 'power' sits and whether anything will be done about it.

exeterwolf

1.) 15 Feb 2020 12:24:53
Probably not as it's us and Sheff Utd upstart clubs challenging the top 6 who have had most goals VARed void.

2.) 17 Feb 2020 21:58:25
I spotted that too.

Wasnt dendonker good ☺☺ you doubters must admit I was for a while but he's come on leaps and bounds just like a few others what a manager nuno is what a team and staff togetherness is the key coyw.

3.) 05 Dec 2019 19:06:46
He did better last night but extremely poor on Sunday.

4.) 05 Dec 2019 19:12:16
Nuno has done an amazing job, great results and a very obvious team spirit. He deserves a bit of sound backing in the transfer market now to give us some extra depth and progression.

5.) 05 Dec 2019 20:39:49
From what he was saying after the game looks like we will be bringing in a couple. I would say three
Gk. ch. amf?

Does anyone know how many of our new additions were Uncle Jorges' boys?
We don't seem to have heard much from him this window.

exeterwolf

1.) 20 Aug 2019 03:40:26
Just Neto. Cutrone, Jordao and Vallejo are represented by other agents.

I'm getting WAY AHEAD of myself here, but, what do we think next season will look like?
Given what this season has given us, what would you predict right now?
Glass half full or half empty?

exeterwolf

1.) 25 Apr 2019 09:38:04
Not to sure it depends who we bring in and how well they adapt to our way of playing
If I'm honest top 8 this season wi be a great season, next season top 6 would be amazing just enjoying the ride.

Of all of them the Traore one is probably the most realistic given his background, the likely profit, and the like chance of obtaining a suitable replacement.
I would be a shame but that is the way it is these days. No Bully's any longer.

Read his interview again.
He is only looking to strengthen, to add quality, not just quantity.
Personally I think it has been a good window for business.
Some will spout on about a striker but how many teams are looking for one at this very moment? Probably all of the Premier League.
Be satisfied and back the club.
We're out of the EU in a few hours so something else to look forward too!

SQ, do you ever read your posts before you press send?
You get accused of negativity because that is all you spout!
Your life must be pretty sad and depressing pal. Try some yoga or meditation buddy, or just sing loudly in the shower - just don't sing The Smiths and stay away from the knife drawer!

Wolvessince77 - great post mate!

I'd also add to the 'not a big enough club' debate. I shake my head at some of these young up and coming 'stars' who WANT a big club and then moan like little children when they get one and don't start every game, or then go on strike to get another move!
I would much rather have our 'down to earth, do the job' type players, squad and management. With the odd exception I can't remember a player not 'pulling for the club' over the last couple of years. If they are giving their all, then they are giving it for US, the real fans.
Keep your premadonnas, I'll take graft and reality any day!

It's suggested that the peak of the virus will be in 8-12 weeks. That takes us to the end of May.
There's only 9-10 league games and cup comps to sort.
Two games a week after that and a shorter seer break, and it may still be possible to do it.
Any longer and it's a non-starter.

This year it is Dendonker, or Saiss, or MGW. Last season it was Costa and before that it was Traore.
There are always going to be players who do not 'do it' for fans and those that do not have a face that fits with managers.
Get over it, support your team, ALL OF THEM!

SQ. If you are going to continually make so many negative observations and you truly are a wolf and not a troll, then try a subject on which some people may have some sympathy with you. Perhaps the parking at the Mol, public transport to games, the food and beverage offerings.
