any truth in the gedson fernandez rumour folks would be a monster signing if its right!

billy wrights slippers

{Ed002's Note - Gedson Fernandes (RM) not seen as good enough for Benfica and regardless of the €100M release clause want him gone for the best deal they can get. Has been offered to four English sides plus sides in Italy. Milan and Lyon have unacceptable proposals on the table. It is thought that Manchester United might bite and it seems West Ham are open to a loan deal. I am not aware of Wolves being involved.}

1.) 04 Jan 2020 13:52:45
Wolves are perennially linked to every (a) Portuguese player and (b) any player represented by Jorge Mendes. It’s getting a bit boring now.

2.) 05 Jan 2020 03:13:10
West Ham have scheduled a meeting with Benfica for next week over the loan signing of Portugal midfielder Gedson Fernandes, 20.

3.) 06 Jan 2020 12:43:06
Not good enough for Wolves either.

well what can you say we get to europe and get a 28000 crowd now all those moaning we can't get tickets where were you tonite? as for the performance a vast improvement on saturday but we have to learn to protect that clean sheet better captain calamity bailed out by olly time and time again first half and a solitary mistake of ryan bennet / these thinga all add up put the kids in next cup games let's get a few more points on the board please lads onwards and upwards COYW!

1.) 20 Sep 2019 07:18:15
Premier league survival is priority one, these players look knackered and don’t have the energy to play the usual high tempo, Dendoncker might as well have stayed in the dressing room same against Chelsea.
I agree, play the kids in all the cup competitions from today and let the 1st eleven get back to where they were last season, beating not getting thrashed by Chelsea.

2.) 20 Sep 2019 21:23:32
Not the crowds fault lol.

3.) 21 Sep 2019 17:58:07
Enjoy it whilst it lasts. Next season could easily be a Tuesday night in the rain in Championship v. Barnsley.

4.) 21 Sep 2019 20:09:54
Maybe? But our next two lge games will determine everything.
Wins against palace and watford will ease all tensions.
Lose both games 😠 and who knows what will happen.

5.) 23 Sep 2019 08:19:27
Are you having a laugh wht tht bloke as done for us and people saying out wht a joke wake up we just ain't having luck like we did last season and if you think we can do better thn go and put your head in the sand we are in the Europa league which most people wanted you wouldn't be moaning if we was in champions league.

6.) 23 Sep 2019 20:32:53
Its not me youve got to convince its the owners I would love him to stay. i'm sure we will demolish watford and that will be our catalyst to better form. and maybe get a couple of new faces in jan.

04 Jan 2019 23:27:22
well what can i say at the current rate of sales we won't have sold 20,000 for the cup game on monday night how sad for a team that is trying to push on 3000 waiting list for season tickets and we can't sell out for liverpool in the fa cup fickle we must be liverpool sold there's in 4 hours come on wolves supporters get behind our team!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 05 Jan 2019 00:31:59
They shouldn't try to rip us off charging full league price to watch a b team. I pay enough for my season ticket as it is.

2.) 05 Jan 2019 01:16:46
I agree with Chrishb. They got the pricing all wrong on this one. I love the FA Cup but don’t believe most clubs do anymore which is sad. Reality is it is going to our reserves v their reserves on a Monday night on TV and yet they want full price? Five of us STH’s travel up to every home game but only two of us are going on Monday. Midweek matches mean leaving home at 2pm and getting home at 1am the next morning.

3.) 05 Jan 2019 09:50:52
i think if you look at prices else where under 30 pound for an adult is a bargain we don't have a b team we have a squad which is always improving it will be sad to be on the the ground with the same faces from 2 seasons ago hope we can beat liverpool and push on its all we have to play for in reality so I fore see a strong team sheet onwards and upwards COYW.

4.) 05 Jan 2019 12:06:12
To be honest, if we were to make a move for Abraham, we should do it in the summer. We need someone who is proven at PL level. An obvious choice would be Origi or Llorente on loan too the end of the season, this gives us the striker we need now and allows Nuno to assess other potential players.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 12:32:33
familys just after xmass and new year . behave.

6.) 05 Jan 2019 16:32:08
You are all aware I take it that Liverpool set the prices even tho it's our home game.

7.) 05 Jan 2019 18:09:12
I counted this morning and there’s 6,000. I expect more people will get it at the door. I think they’ll lower the prices if it’s not around a sell out. Obviously it being on Monday, after Christmas, on BBC, doesn't help.

8.) 05 Jan 2019 19:59:01
Nuno. ES, why would Liverpool set the prices for the home team? They can only dictate the prices for their own allocation.

9.) 05 Jan 2019 19:51:54
The Liverpool match is on free TV, BBC1 on a Monday night when everyone is back at work/ school. Plus they are charging PL ticket prices. Guaranteed a low attendance! They have this one wrong.

10.) 05 Jan 2019 19:52:32
How much disruption to our fixtures do we have to suffer before fans get fed up? Saturday 3pm home kick offs few and far between, no home games over Xmas, New Year’s Day game moved to Wednesday night, drawn at home in FA cup and moved to Monday night. Clubs are compensated for televised games but apparently not the fans, half price for season ticket holders would have been a welcome gesture.

11.) 06 Jan 2019 16:20:11
Jas it's a done thing in the fa cup apparently, home and away tickets shouldn't be different and the 27 was what Liverpool wanted their fans to pay, the wording of the rule is
Immediately after the draw is known, the Club playing at home shall decide on the prices of admission, subject to a minimum price of £10.00 for all spectators other than concessions. The away Club’s spectators can only be charged more than the home Club’s spectators if mutually agreed by both Clubs.

12.) 06 Jan 2019 21:54:01
That suggests that Liverpool don't set the prices then.

13.) 07 Jan 2019 13:16:42
No, it suggests that liverpool didn't agree with a cheaper price and Wolves increased it to comply with the rules - it's quite easy to understand.

get ready for loads of negativity we wernt at the races tonite . roy hodgsen is well known for organisig defences (perhaps we shoud ask him for tips ) we created nothing and defended like a league 2 side now we need to dust ourselves off and have a look what's needed I would like to see den doncker start more often offers more protection for the defence but more stength all over the park please onwards and upwards COYW.

1.) 03 Jan 2019 00:27:49
It comes across as the players can't be bothered against anyone other than top 6 tbh, those players tonight need to take a long hard look in the mirror.
Anyway that's the only negativity from me they need to dust themselves down now and get on with it.

2.) 03 Jan 2019 01:20:21
P*** Poor again today. Can’t pass a ball, nothing up top, sitting back and letting palace play, no pressing and no desire to get the ball back and put it in the back of the net.
Put us against Man City in the next week or so and we’ll be playing well and putting a shift in again! It’s frustrating.
Call me negative if you like but, playing well against the big boys and letting the “lesser” make us look stupid isn’t good enough. Fulham, Huddersfield, Watford, Cardiff and now Palace are games we should have been better in.

{Ed0333's Note - calm down mate you’re a work in progress and way above par. You have lofty ambitions and will be a real force in a few seasons. I hate to spit out cliches but Rome wasn’t built in a day mate. Enjoy the ride

3.) 03 Jan 2019 08:32:22
Jesus Christ, we win and we are the best ever we lose and it’s all panic. I genuinely dislike our fans.

4.) 03 Jan 2019 10:18:55
Agree stuu
2 years a go we were just a average championship club
Look where we are now, I like everyone else was pissed off with last night's result, but we are learning in this division as long as we stay up and then build.

5.) 03 Jan 2019 14:15:16
The weakness is the forwards - sign Abrahams and one other and it will be fixed, 7th at least by May. Maybe FA Cup Final too.

09 Dec 2018 22:46:16
a great reult not a great performance but we scored twice and that is good enough we have a young inexperienced side that with our support and a couple of seasons in the prem could become a real force onwards and upwards COYW!

1.) 10 Dec 2018 08:25:53
Sometimes things go right and it helps balance out games when we felt robbed like Newcastle fans must have felt on the other hand good teams often score in stoppage time and it was a good attack and Doc was there for the rebound also good attacking subs after the sending off.

14 Feb 2020 23:03:03
var aside were we good enough tonight . not at the races for large parts of the game . without mouthino pulling the strings we are devoid of ideas need a bit of a think bad finishing cost us dear but for me a point was all we deserved if that . can only hope for that europa run as top six is getting harder by the week but onwards and upward coyw.

billy wrights slippers

1.) 15 Feb 2020 12:28:49
We have a lifeline with Man City being excluded but we have just had three difficult matches and a great chance to still make the top 6.

2.) 15 Feb 2020 13:57:31
VAR will ensure we don't break into top 6.

3.) 15 Feb 2020 14:42:30
I'm wondering what will happen if a relegation or promotion match turns out to be decided by a dodgy VAR adjudication. Or even (God forbid) a champions league spot!
All hell will break out.
From what we're told the laws won't be adjusted this season, so please get it right in the summer.

glad that zinchenko never signed for us absolutely horendous!

01 Feb 2020 19:26:30
one of our worst performance this season made man u look good for large parts of the game need to think a bit more gave the ball away loads that said a point at old trafford they will be more disapointed than us onwards and upwards COYW!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 01 Feb 2020 22:05:49
Watching a different game from me Slippers; We could have won that and limited them to almost zilch. Guess most teams coming away from Old Trafford with a point would be o. t. moon. Hardly our worst performance of the season! Pity we didn't invest in new striker; but upwards and onwards!

2.) 01 Feb 2020 22:16:47
Boly and Jota looked decent but it was evident that they'd just come back from injuries. Neto is a superstar in the making which is always willing to take on a defender and Podence looks like a shrewd signing. 13 days until our next game. Boly and Jota will be back to full fitness and Podence will have had time to adapt to Nunos tactics. 4th place is there for the taking.

3.) 02 Feb 2020 08:04:28
take a look at the stats belfast patricio was by far the busiest keeper the only thing I find strange about our team is we seem to let the oppoosition run into our half without making a challenge hence putting under pressure next on the list liecester so let's hope every one is up for it!

4.) 02 Feb 2020 12:35:26
Slippers, that's the way Nuno sets us up to play. Away from home, the opposition will usually have more possession than us. I thought we did well.

5.) 02 Feb 2020 12:47:27
Shows how far we have come as a club now that we are disappointed at only a draw at Man U!

6.) 02 Feb 2020 15:02:02
Billy- did you watch the game fella? I only ask because in this match the stats don't tell the fUll story. Only two of those shots were from inside our area and of those only one looked dangerous! It's Oles new approach, they have lots of long shots that don't look like going in so after the match he can go 'we were all over them, look at the stats'! Jenas actually spotted it after they played the Saints when Ole regaled the reporter on how they created SO many chances but just couldn't finish them. Cut back to the studio and Jenas pretty much laughed and said what game was he watching because they hadn't taken a shot from inside the area until the 85th minute and he was spot on! We played ok but if honest I thought both teams looked tired. COYW 👍.

7.) 02 Feb 2020 18:09:12
bullys boy of course I watched the match we should have had a penalty but how many shots on target 1 I counted not saying we were terrible but we did make utd look good all said they did kick us off the park but we need to stop being sloppy in posetion improvement is always the name of the game a top ten finish and a gud go at the europa I will be happy .

8.) 03 Feb 2020 16:59:28
Billy- Well we had the chance were Jota ran around the whole defence and then got pulled down as he was about to pull the trigger. Then there was the one where Raul played a nice one two and had a great shot at De Gea. Then there was the Podence chance late on which was blocked on the six yar box by a defender! Now that's just off the top of my head without re-watching but this was kind of my point when I asked if you watched the match (I wasn't being confrontation) . It was more a point that the chances we made were well worked chances from inside the box with a decent chance of scoring, whereas there's where speculative drives from 30 yards out! So considering we were away at OT I don't think its a bad performance when we look like the ONLY team out there to create meaningful chances, rather than just hit and hopes! COYW ;)

30 Jan 2020 16:46:28
please please please sign a proper sweeper then we have the ammunition to fire us into the champions league spots!

billy wrights slippers

1.) 30 Jan 2020 18:43:42
Not sure they exist much anymore to be honest Billy? Gone are the days when most teams would rely on a quality sweeper, sure there are CBS out there that could adapt mind 👍.

the council hhave been shown plans for the new stadium but are reluctant to invest in new infrastructure to get fans in and out safely . the new plans include 2 new bpedestrian bridges either side of the subway to ease congestion before and after matches. apparently the council want fosun to pay fro everything so until these and a couple of other issues are resolved it will be temporary measures . myself I would rather see the team built into a rgular top 4 side first the ground can wait!
