A few people on Mol Mix have said that we have enquired about Charlie Austin and would cost anywhere between £7-10m.
Not saying its true but that its just rumours from the mix. I personally would be happy with him.

Charlie Austin is someone we don't want associated with this club, he bottled a guy at my local race course when he was playing for Hungerford and his old man paid the guy not to press charges. He's a foul individual who would only cause trouble in the changing room.

He was saying that there were only four players who scored 20 + goals last season! Three are in the premier league one has pledged next season to his club.

Yh he scored 14 of his 30 goals in league 1 plus about 5 or 6 more in cup games even though he is our beat striker atm there are better strikers out there who would fit us so much better.

If we play with one up front, it doesn't have to be a 6'5" lump. We need a ball player. Someone to take on the 6'5" lumpy centre half, and someone to play in the 'finishers ' coming on to the ball from deeper.
Not sure we have one, perhaps Zyro, perhaps Boden, who knows, but we don't just have to look for the next John Fashanu.

A cautionary note - just because a fee has been agreed with Porto does not mean the player has agreed to come. For those who think we can buy anybody because of Fosun's deep pockets, we can only buy players who want to come.
I want success and a great team as much as everyone else, but we need to not get our heads in the clouds again. When these signings are all signed, sealed and delivered is the time to get excited about what they can do on the hallowed turf of Molineux.

One thing that concerns me is that this sale had to be completed by July 1st. I did read that Porto could submit later as an amendment but the time scale was quite short. How can the deal be completed if he's not turned up for a medical and if the signing is delayed or should fall through Porto could fall fowl of the FFP, unless another club is close to signing him.
I still feel it will be completed with a 2 year contact but with a clause that should we not be promoted the player will be able to leave after one year with a buyout clause around 2m more than we paid.

Agreed mathmo. He might be a victim of circumstances. A scapegoat for Porto. We get the feeling he doesn't wanna come here. If they have to offload him (or at least try) then it makes sense that it is us. Mendes, fellow Portuguese players etc. If it's true his other half is pregnant then why all of a sudden up sticks to a country you don't know and can't speak the language. The lad is 20. What would you do?
I'm preying for this transfer to go through. His distribution tackling and vision are great. But I think maybe we are again like last year, trying to punch above our weight for now.

This guy is mainly a winger but occasionally plays attacking mid.
Im all for decent players but what's the point of wingers if there is no one to aim for! Especially if we play one upfront. Maybe Costa is off otherwise doesn't make sense. We need a full blooded attacking mid and striker.
