Yeah that came out of the blue really! Very good signing though. Ikeme needs competition or he could become complacent. No point in his form nose-diving when some pressure is on, as was the case with Martinez last season. Welcome Andy; hopeful a few more to follow!

That's told me! My understanding is that even if they go through quickly there still would be time for it to leak do out not agree?
{Ed001's Note - not really at this level, there are not teams of people bothered about chasing up stuff. You have one or two guys, at most, so it only tends to leak if they happen to know player or agent involved or one side is unhappy with how negotiations are going and leak something to put pressure on the other party. Usually that is the player wanting a better offer so his agent will tip the nod to someone to make other clubs aware his client is available.}

I heard that Ikeme was on the verge of asking for a transfer last season but was talked out of it by Jackett.
I think Lonergan is his replacement and Ikeme will be gone within weeks.
