De Boer is one of the worst managers I have ever seen in my life, I have lived in amsterdam for 5 years and my partner is a huge ajax fan so I frequently watch their games. Under his tenure, what has to be described as the most talented squad in dutch football barely won the title each year through the odd moment of individual skill and luck, the footbal tactics and man management employed by De Boer was nothing other than farsical, he fequently lost the dressing room and exiled players for having any bad word to say about his methods. He also sold or dropped extremely talented and skilled players because they didn't score enough despite not being strikers ( for example Kishna) he is also the manager that loaned bojan from barcelona and decided his best postition was on the left wing and then complained that he wasnt scoring enough.

That sounds like they intend for Wolves to lead their brand / be the identity of their group / consortium in Europe, which makes sense, as Wolf is the new Chinese symbol for enterprise, which is what Chinese business competing in foreign free markets (like Europe) is all about.
This has the makings of being massive, like potentially they intend for us to be the next Man City.

I think they mean they are not taking Lopetegui out of Europe by putting him in some 2nd Division English backwater, but rather they intend for him to help transform Wolves into a European success, so that Wolves will be the lead / defining identity of the brand of their consortium and it's other business activities in Europe, with 'wolf' meaning enterprise in modern Chinese corporate thinking.
