A few years ago Lambert was the guy I wanted after seeing him transform Norwich but his stock dropped following Villa and Blackburn however if it is him I hope he can deliver what he did at Norwich! Take him over Pearson or sherwood all day long.

Superb result and shows we need to give them time before getting carried away. Tuesday and today sum the championship up to a tee. Buzzing!

Reading what Mason is saying about Bod improving his game it isn't a surprise KJ wasn't happy after signing Mason that he didn't get the strong, powerful big guy he wanted alongside him after stating he hoped to get during the window.

Hope KJ goes on to another decent job as he was royally screwed over by M&M. I agree with most that he probably hit his level however can't help but think he must be screwing over the difference in policy post Moxey.

Looking forward to Saturday. Hopefully a good crowd.

After the press conference and seeing the video on E&S I have to say i'm feeling the most excited I think I ever have about the the future of the club.

I know a lot won't be happy about Kenny staying on but it seems sensible. Clearly Lopetegui was coming in, they don't just want to rush it and sack a manager less than 2 weeks before the season kicks off.

Give Kenny 3 months with a good squad and it's now up him to prove he's up to it or he's gone.

Exciting times ahead.

That was an interesting listen, if that bloke was on the money then, good times could be right round the corner!

Chris Martin is exactly the type of striker we need off the bench over the coming months as highlighted against Forest. I have absolutely no confidence in any of our current attackers winning a header in the box thus we are one dimensional. This is fine when playing well and winning but what when losing?

On Saturday we were desperate for someone to get in the box and make a cross a viable option. If plan A isn't working plan B must offer something different not simply follow the same pattern.

If not martin it needs to be someone who can at least challenge in the air to give us an option. First choice I'd take is Oliviera as he offers both plan A and B.

Ignore the city centre. There's some beautiful places to live within a reasonable commute to the city. You're within a 2 hour commute to London and even less to Manchester so not as bad as some may think to attract players but still you're right, Madrid over anywhere in this country if you have the money they have. For others bashing Manchester it's vastly improved over recent years but players live in Alderly Edge, Wilmslow etc which are really nice parts of this country.

Soares or Oliviera all day for me. Outside of those Afobe fits the bill of being good on the ball, linking play and good finisher. Compare the players around him to those that were round him during his final 6 months. if we get any of these 3 I'll be delighted.

People get carried away with a 20 goal striker. What difference is the striker getting 25 with LF/ RF both getting 10 each compared to all 3 getting 15?

Too many people are stuck in the age of thinking you need an experienced hardened Champ manager. Look at this seasons top 6. Only 1 British manager. The championship isn't the clogging league full of work horses that lack skill it once was. It's moved on and the top 6 this year proves that.

Lambert hasn't been treated well and good luck to him however the worlds a changing as they say.

For me common sense says make Jota deal permanent and loan a striker with view to perm in the summer with a chunky loan fee. Even not signing Jota we can still loan a striker but obviously someone drops out of matchday squad so Nuno could choose between Leo and the new striker depending on the opposition.

Apparently Aboubaker doesn't like Nuno so doubt he'll be signing any time soon. Would be delighted with the others if any hint of truth in them.

I love Cav but agree he is very much like Sako in that there's no middle ground. On his day he's far too good for this league but he needs more of those days.

Why haven't we scored any goals since the window closed? How when we scored 3 do you think the striker is the problem? None of that crap about but with a striker it could have been 7. how many games do you see that happen in. What we need to do is get to grips with defending set pieces. Simple as that.

The goals will come. Nuno said on day 1 the plan is to build from the back. Stop conceding goal, make all the players comfortable in possession and then focus on the other end. Can't help but feel a player like Afobe could have a field day in this side. He's the type of player who can drop deep to link play but also be the striker.

On another day Bonatini could have had a hat-trick and I'm really impressed with how he links play. All we heard was the players won't adapt etc but they're adapting very nicely but they are still adapting and will get better and better.
