Neves to Wolves just been on SSN transfer centre quoted fee £14m. Honestly not sure what to think, will we actually sign him?

It's looking likely, although still hard to believe. With Neves, Costa, Cavaleiro and Miranda we would have a Portuguese core that should blast through the Championship. Plus Saiss, Oniangue, Graham, Iorfa, Hause, Marshall, Zyro, Bodvarsson, Douglas and let's chuck Ikeme, Doherty, Batth and Edwards' names in too that's an exciting team. Then there's the younger players.

Why do people keep mentioning oniangue? He looks decidedly average playing for us or on loan. We have younger players who could do just as well.

The best thing about it is.
We're signing players that are in and around the Portuguese national team.
That is pretty impressive.
But if you think-Portugal are currently European champions.
It makes it even more so. If we were signing players in and around the England team people would be going nuts! But Portugal are a way better team.

Portugal may have won the the European cup, but they weren't great doing it. Without Ronaldo they are very average.

England aren't great Ed but to call Portugal a way better team is wrong. They have one world class player and many good ones and hardly won the Euros through their scintillating football. They also looked very ordinary in the Confederations Cup. Time to judge acquisitions will be when we see them in the flesh but as yet we haven't added any much-needed flair players or goalscorer to the squad. There's time for that to happen of course.

Players can always come back early. If it is true then maybe he just wants to get a head start and make an impression. Could potentially be a decent signing. He's never been blessed with pace so that's not an issue when it comes to age. Good player to bring on as he wouldn't play every game.

We are talking about 35-36 year old Berbatov not one that's in his pomp which then makes it ridiculous. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if he actually was training with us. Pipe down ya fool.

Why aren't we breaking the bank to bring this Josh Scowen in? He is the centre midfielder we have been crying out for and is wanted by Burnley, Villa and Fulham so Wolves have said they 'will match his £9K wages' from those clubs. WOW, yes, I'm sure that will work! And Hugill is only odds on to come to us because nobody else wants him. I'm not even sure Fosun care, tbh.
