First match I went to was 1955. We played Arsenal in the cup at the Molineux and beat them one goal to nothing. We had a great them days.

If you had told Norman Deeley or Jimmy Murray that the team was playing with one up front they'd think you'd gone bonkers. Jimmy Murray scored 199 goals for Wolves in 273 matches, and he wern't playing up front on his own.

Lot of talk about One up front etc. What we need is good defenders and midfield so we can get more forwards up top. When we had solid players like Ron Flowers and Bobby Thompson in defence and midfield we played 5 up front and we scored loads of goals that way. that's what we should be doing, not messing about with one up front, total waste of time that.

Obviously I hope we do well this season but I have concerns about us playing this 3-4-3 system in the Championship, great when we play it in friendlies or training ground etc but I don't like all this fancy stuff and worried that good championship sides will rip us to bits with just 3 at the back. I think the manager needs to play a simple 4-4-2 and stop interfering with things.
