I really hope we do well at Southampton but Brentford on Saturday is far more important. Coady, Boly, Jota, Neves, Bonatini and Bright all rested by the looks of it. Team will include Dangerous Dave and Danny Batth, I'm sure Nuno already knows plenty about them but it will give him a good chance to see how Ryan Bennett is progressing in terms of the 3 at the back system. Only a matter of time before through injury, suspension or lack of form that he has to change that back 3 so good run out for Bennett to show what he can do. Cardiff was a disappointment but a decent performance this evening against Prem opposition and a win on Saturday and we will be back on track. I am very excited and optimistic about what we can achieve this season. Experienced striker still required but with advice from Nuno and Uncle Jorges Big Jeff will sort that out I'm sure.

Who will be up front though? I presume Dicko with Bonatini rested unless he throws Zyro right in there.

Is it just me or does anybody else agree that it is imperative that wolves sign two quality central defenders between now and August to avoid another bottom half of the table finish? I hear a lot of talk about needing a striker, which of course we desperately do, but not seen many saying that our central defence is well below par if we want to be challenging for the play-offs.
It must be obvious to other people too? Surely?

Many people on here want to see the back of Lambert. I think he deserves the summer to influence who we bring in/ get rid of an oversee a full pre-season. If we are looking same old story by end of October then pull the trapdoor lever without hesitation. Just my opinion of course.

It's all about opinions, but in my opinion your wrong 👍.

2.) 26 Apr 2017 18:15:30
What would you do if up to you?

3.) 26 Apr 2017 18:49:41
He's only on a rollin contract so I'd finish him after Final game. I would of contacted Mendes and other agents and have a list of available managers on my desk. I would also clear the coachin staff and Thelwell, plus any players who's contracts expire in the summer I would release them as there aren't any worth keepin. Then I'd appoint my new manager and allow him to bring in his own back room staff, then I would allow him sufficient funds to bring his players in. its not rocket science and with Fosuns fundin it makes it a lot easier.

Honest assessment. We are targeting the Premiership and have financial backing to support that aim. Based on what everyone has seen since he has been in post; who in their right mind thinks that Lambert is the person to deliver this. His one dimensional, uninspiring tactics will never get us beyond bottom half of Championship. Body language of players yesterday showed that they have totally lost faith in his tactics. (If hoofing the ball in the air and hoping upon hope that something will come from it can be called tactics)
Straw that broke the camels back. with 10 minutes left and one down he brings on Dicko. So far so good, may as well sacrifice defender and push extra man forward! Who then to sacrifice? Silvio, who since Graham came on had linked well up the left and showed that he could play. good touch and good vision. Ok perhaps his lack of playing time meant he was out on his feet although he didn't look to be. Could and should have taken of any one of other three defenders as they were all struggling and offering nothing going forward. Here comes the proverbial straw. details Marshall to fill in at left back in order to keep a back four!
Marshall's body language showed his disbelief. From that point onward Graham's fleeting influence disappeared completely and we failed to produce a single forward threat. The man is clueless, the football is dire and surely the writing is on the wall.
I can't believe that any fan with any semblance of tactical nouse who endured Saturday and Tuesday debacles can believe Lambert is the answer. If he is I would like someone to tell me the question.
I really expected him to be sacked with immediate effect last night and hope that it happens asap.
Marco Silva should be our number one target. We have big plans and big financial backers
, we need a manager with the capacity to deliver and there is absolutely no way that Lambert is that person. Don't like saying this as I always support fellow Scots and don't like to see people sacked but I am only wanting the best for our club.

I would approach Marco Silva, his recent record with Hull speaks for itself. I don't think PL can get us up and no way on gods earth next season. The squad is at best average, few good kids but not a lot else.

Excellent post Scottish wolf, just about sums the clueless fool up. Cannot believe there are some fans, (minority obviously) that want to keep him and are happy with what they are seeing! Paul T it ain't rocket science is it and we can see what to do, just hope Fosun see it too 🙏🙏🙏.

I have to say I'm in Johns corner on this one regarding Vietto. His record when it comes to actual goals is pretty ordinary at best for a out and out striker, which i assume he is, and if he isn't an out and out striker why would we sign him, we have enough attacking minded options. Why sign a one goal every 4 matches type of striker? Makes no sense to me.

{Ed047's Note - He is not what i would call a true No.9 he is more a No.10 very creative and mobile, he will most likely stay at Madrid until Jan when Costa signs as under a transfer ban}.

Stu- The highly rated Daniel Majstorovic is lined up for the job. Currently at AEK Athens. Roma also wanted to appoint him. Story is in todays papers. Easy to find if you google it.

Blimey Clive, she must have looked pretty bad if she scared death away. Word has it that only the most grotesque sights are enough to send him packing. She could have saved herself a lot of bother though and just showed him a photo of Iain Dowie.

Well Ulf, If I were you I wouldn't rely on the BBC for info, they're often way off the mark. Truth is only a handful of people on the planet know the actual reality of the Andre Gray situation at present and I seriously doubt it includes anybody who works in the media.

Bid for Coady rejected. No surprise there. I guess it was just a hopeful punt by Sheffield Utd. They must have known deep down that we wouldn't let him go unless stupid money was involved, and I don't think they have loads of spare cash to throw around somehow.

WWClaregate - Needs the ball on a plate to finish? Are we talking about the same Benik Afobe? We can't be. Either that or you don't understand football! Just look at his career goals on you tube. If you don't change your mind after watching that then I won't waste my breath explaining why you are so way off the mark with your statement!

I don't think Lowwolf was trying to suggest the ground will be full. He was simply advising that due to sections of the stadium being closed (as per Villa friendly couple of years ago) Very few, if any tickets will be left. So if all the tickets get sold, it's a sell out .

Yes but as I said, I will be slowing down Fosun project of rebuilding Steve Bull stand by chaining myself to turnstile outside J2. I will wear wolves bright green shirt to ensure the bulldozer drivers see me!

I have been sitting in J2 Steve Bull for years. Great part of the stadium, old school mentality, no fuss, great view and the speed at which you get in and out of the stadium is breathtaking! Lol. I wouldn't choose to sit anywhere else so make the most of it while you can as they will probably knock it down and rebuild it within the next 5 years or so. J2 for me until the day they do, I will probably chain myself to the turnstile when they eventually send the bulldozers in!
