just not for us Wolves fans! I felt this article from Tim Spiers of the Express and Star was worth sharing on the page. Found it a very good insight as to how difficult it'll prove to be for us this summer to compete in the transfer market.

I'm personally not too bothered by the Money Shop deal as I don't see it as any more unethical than betting companies who are everywhere in football. Although I do understand people being opposed to the deal. With the shortfall in income now the parachute payments have stopped maybe it is time to take money where we can get it. If doing the deal with the MS means we don't have to sell Iorfa for another season then maybe it is worth it.

Clive. I am in full agreement with you here. I have steered well clear of the MS argument, as, too be honest, I don't really give a rats a** who is pumping money into the club as long as someone is. Totally agree that there is no difference between this deal and the sporting bet deal. A lot of people on here just wanting to use any excuse to 'get at the club'. It needs to stop. It needs to stop now. Last season has gone, its over, its all about Aug 6th now. So for gods sake let's move on.

I laid into Wolves and Moxey over it, last on Wednesday when they said in E&S, that even knowing about 13k petition and fan backlash, they'd still sign Moneyshop now even if they weren't already signed.

It's past the point lobbying can affect WWFC's thinking, typical Moxey, they've dug in, to a sewer and a grave, but still unshiftable. And the fan base is as up to speed with the arguments as they're ever going to be, so no point going on anymore now.

I love my club, I only want the best for it, I'm just one person who can't force that, so unable to, apart from odd small cynical shot, I'll just back off now as last thing I want to do is harm the club, doesn't need it on top of the harm Moxey is doing. Will just have to give up on supporting for this season, wait and hope for a new owner that'll take our club off Moxey and his MS friends and give it back to us.

Don't worry Ulf, you can't harm the club with your comments, you'll just be ignored. If what nearly half a stadium full of supporters think, doesn't makes any difference, you've got no chance.

Ulf my theory is Moxey is spreading all this doom and gloom and despair deliberately. Get all the fans so suicidally despondent.
Then in he rides on his on his big white charger announcing he has found a buyer! He has saved WWFC! And his job .

With a bit of luck that big white charger will slip and cover him head to toe in s### before he gets the chance to proclaim himself the club saviour.
Knowing how the likes of moxey operate I wouldn't be surprised to see him become head of a consortium, if it happens the game is up, might aswell go and watch the shrews or telford.

re jtwolf, if I went on and on it would compound the harm Moxey has done to Wolves identity not to local / urban / mostly those in Mol, but with regard to Wolves more remote middle class and rural support and ex-pats, as my points are effectively selling the concept to them that Wolves doesn't fit with their identity any more and harms it. Some will feel that but ignore it, if they have someone reminding them all time, might convince a few more of them. And it certainly risks turning off potential new supporters. The less people notice, remember it's happening, the better.

Re Derby, I've a horrible feeling that's been going on since last summer. Maybe, Morgan decided to sell long time back during relegations, needed to get us back to at least Champ first though so hadn't obviously trashed SJH's club and done a runner. And to get his cash back, as no League 1 club worth £30m. Then back in Champ, needed a season to prove we wouldn't fall back in order to sell, but with magic's we we're flying and nearly got back to Prem straight away, so he stayed to enjoy ride in hope he'd be selling Prem club. When not last summer, handy because SJH now gone, abandoned this season and has had buyer lined up all along.

May still be Moneyshop (and sponsorship was to test water for purchase, see how many do desert club) and in worst case scenario, not bankrolling us but just using us as Champ vehicle to change their image via our region and supposedly getting away with it with Wolves fans by making club about local community and charity projects.

That fits precisely what Moxey had McKnight present in last Autumns fan parliament, which was odd as anything because why present long-term strategy to fans when you're up for sale and it should be new owners decision?

All I can say is Morgan needs to drop price of club and move on and take Moxey, Thelwell and Jackett with him waste of time the lot of them cannot and will not watch that what Jackett calls football last season and if the fans have any sense they will also follow suit only way to show these numpties running our football club is to stay together and say enough is enough with the rubbish footy we have put up with,
Top goalscorer 7 goals, you must be joking if you think we are going to achieve anything with that record, I for one say sort it Mr. Jackett or expect a backlash from the fans we are not that stupid and will not stand for it next year, the Tea Lady could of done better picking the side.

Ulf,

I think Moxey's brief is to keep the club ticking over at a profit while we find a buyer. The MS deal is probably the most lucrative Moxey could come up with. Morgan probably doesn't care enough about it. If MS owner is not buying us, the MS sponsorship will not deter another buyer. Contracts can be, and are, terminated early all the time.

I do hope so Deep Throat, I just find it hard to really believe Moxey couldn't see MS was more trouble than it's worth, especially while we're up for sale and club needs fans on side to give best image to potential buyer. Can't believe Moxey is so unwitting in marketing and public / supporter relations. And I hate loose inexplicable ends and can't make McKnight fit.

But then McKnight seems to be a little Moxey me-too, when he was Stockport CEO spouted on about 360degree football club CEO's, who needed to be equally expert in finance, football, and marketing. Unrealistic, it didn't work and he didn't last at Stockport, but I guess it could be Moxey's opinion too and about himself, and account for him thinking he was qualified to assume MS OK as ordinary marketing business when it wasn't.

Fingers crossed, we deserve a good buyer, if Villa does we do, in long run not really any different potential at all, depending on investment :-)
