It has been reported that Wolves coaching staff do not see a future for Fabio Silva at the club.

Opinions Wolves fans?

It’s hard to see a future for him tbh, just doesn’t look upto standard for the premier league, it’s a shame but that’s football.

Like many Rated you begin to doubt that he ever will make it here and that is a shame.

He doesn't seem to be able to compete at this level.

I feel for the guy, he does put a shift in, but it's increasingly obvious he's not up to scratch.

Wolves took a punt on him and it just hasn't worked out for either party. I'd love to see him resurrect his career with someone else.

Somewhere be it with WWFC or elsewhere he needs a lucky break.

Yes, I don't think we can use the excuse of his age anymore. He does put a shift in when he comes on, but sorry if this upsets people offers very little. He has no pace, little physical strength to upset centre backs. Just hope we don't loose to much on him.
I do wish him the best of luck, because he has tried, no doubt about that. Just not cut out for this league.

Sorry to say he had too much heaped on him too soon. The transfer fee, his wages, thrust into replacing raul after what had been a pretty good showing in the U23s. Covid, you name it. His spell abroad gave some hope but I'm sorry he dosnt show much to convince me that he's got what it takes in the prem. We need to cut our losses.

I am still confused who scouted him and believed he was good enough. Who gave him the ridiculous salary. Unfortunately, he plays like a Sunday league player, especially the half hearted heading attempts. He has been so out of his depth. It is a shame as he seems a great lad. A move abroad or back home is what he needs.

I do not claim to be any sort of football expert or have any background in the game. However if you look back on my posts on this matter you will see that after watching him for just a few hours - {surely our scouts should have watched him for far longer than that before the club spent what will be in wages and fees over £60m before he eventually leaves, as a very very rich man, on a modest if not free transfer to play a much lower level of football and for a tiny fraction of his insane current contract} - I was able to tell, (and posted to say so!), he was hopelessly out of his depth and was a truly dreadful signing!
He was unfit, slow, weak, had a poor touch and was an awful finisher - all in all he was simply not a very good footballer.
Today whilst he is stronger, fitter and quicker he is still a long way from the level required for Prem football.
If it was screamingly obvious to me then surely the club scouts must have known this as well.
When you add the equally appalling signings of Guedes, Jose, Trincao and albeit to a lesser extent Hoever and if I am being very harsh Semedo it is not surprising that the club fell away badly post Seville.
It also begs questions about who was making the decisions and why they, (Jeff), is still at the club!
"If" and "But" the two greatest players in the history of the game but it does make one wonder where oh where would Wolves be, (European regulars and maybe an odd Champions league campaign), if we hadn't wasted the tens and tens of millions on these disasterous signings!
Sorry Rated but the wound is still sore and you just poured salt on it!

When we signed fabio silva he was the best next up and coming youth player in Portugal with interest across Europe for his signature.
Unfortunately he has failed to.live up to his billing.
It looks likely he has no future with us unless he turns his form around.
He has to have talent irrespective of he has done/shown for us.

Fabio may well become a success but not in the prem or at least not in the foreseeable future. I suppose it comes down to how long we are willing to wait whilst pouring money into his bank account for no payback. We should sell and add a sizeable sell on clause to try and protect our ridiculous initial outlay. Let's hope that a lesson has been learnt and we don't repeat it again.
