SEVLOW1967,
Born and bred wolverhampton still living in wolverhampton.

Gave season ticket up few years back down to reasons I don't want to post as too sad and don'twant to be on here sad but happy.
My first match I can not remember late 70's as taken from knee high with my bro by my dad.

My dad passed when I was young so find things hard to remember in detail about wolves but my dad was born in 1940 and told me everything about when he was there as a teenager on the southbank in the 50,s heyday.
My dad played football for his youth team in the 50's and played tournaments in Europe I remember Germany was one definitely, it could of been just Germany.
Proud that I had a great hero dad who loved football and wolves.
Why I connect well with the elders on here who keep the wolves spirt within me reminding me of my dad.

Superb post Phil,my dad played football also,he passed away 15 yes back, but he's responsible for my wolves support,he played for the army while in Cyprus, and on my elder sisters birth,he scored a hatrick against the Cyprus team at nicosea stadium, here's a laugh, before he was conscripted,he had an offer of contract from West brom,?
Glad he went in the army
He left me a book on wolves, with great photos of Billy Wright etc
And a model of the stadium they wanted to build, but council rejected it at the time

Nice feeling Greyleg connecting in our similar experiences.
I feel pride for you on top of my own.

It's the norm for me always that you support the team your dad does.

Fans for example of man utd a very lot are not from Manchester.
And I remember when leeds won the last first division title before premier league I saw loads of kids wearing Leeds shirts around wolverhampton Town used to make me scratch my head thinking how fake is that.

Wimbornewolf,
I understand and admire your passion for wolves.
I imagine for you in 50's travelling from East Kent to Wolverhampton when money was a lot scarce and the transport system not how it is today.
Remaining Travelling to wolves when we in the 4th division is of the highest passion imo for the wolves.
