Not the best performance today but 3 points is 3 points. Only another 18 to go for safety.

{Ed0333's Note - it’s all about cementing your premiership status mate. Then you build from there. Premiership challenges, European nights etc but it all takes time. Im sure you guys will experience some enthralling stuff n the not too distant future.

Just on train back from game. Great 3 points away from home would have taken a point before hand. Good to see that we can rotate and still get results. Onwards and upwards.

What was Rafa bemoaning no VAR if he had it all it would do is confirm what we all saw! The refs decision was absolutely correct. DJ would have scored from that position and I would have been happy with them keeping 11 on and being 2-1 up on 55! We only got back to our best when MGW and Moutinio came on for the last 15 mins. Ruben N is going through a bad patch i'm thinking! Hope we beat Bournemouth next week.

⚽️😉👍.

He was more annoyed at Boly elbowing their player in the face, which replays showed he did. Nice to have one go in our favour for a change.

We are still a way off our best! I saw glimpses of it coming back, but only in the last 15 mins when our subs came on! Lots of work to do. We will need to be on it from the off against Bournemouth next week. Great 3 points and when we didn’t play that well either. onwards and upwards.

⚽️😉👍.

Wish we didn’t sing w@||ky wanderers it’s embarrassing! All for taking the piss out yourself and especially if we’re beating them lot down the road but when we’re on Sky it sounds like the other fans are singing it but it’s not it’s us.
Other than that great 3 points.
Nuno forever 🐺.

Just a note on VAR. Rafa was very much for it concerning boly etc. But there was no mention (by anyone) of adama being hit in face on the break (deliberately) and the ref missing it. Things happen, that's football as we love it. That's why we get the thrill, sterilise it and a big part of the 'game' is lost. That's 3 points eeked out away from home. Superb first goal rattled the bar denied by decent saves and fought till the end with a decent goal from an exhausted Doherty. Great win and we'll lined out by Nuno. Now for Bournemouth onward and upwards. COY premier W.

{Ed001's Note - just ask Mark Hughes, you should be careful what you wish for as he was screaming for VAR until it cost his team.}

No problem with VAR even if it shows Boly elbowing the player if it was deliberate he should be off and we can't complain but to me it looked like he was going for the ball and their player and his elbow collided but that's not the point the point was the ref said no contact it was the ball in his face so I see why Rafa feels hard done by but football has been like this for ever.

Newky brown to be replaced by Rafa's bitter.!

Every picture I've seen shows the ball hitting his nose and Willy's elbow close to his chin/ throat, in my opinion he was just jumping, eyes on the ball and more importantly there was no sudden movement of the elbow indicating a deliberate act.

Camo have a closer look, Boly's elbow never went higher than Perez's chest. The ball hit Perez in the face before going on to hit Boly on the head.
