Watched Saiss at the back yesterday. No way am I convinced nor anyone else.

I'd go as far as to say bringing in a top quality CB next week is what I'm hoping for most.

In all fairness i'd love Vida! Mina or Lindelof. Strength power and equally important in the prem pace.
Hope all those targets and any others bring what we need.

I don't think Bennett would let us down badly. Don't trust Saiss at all. Whatever he did in the world cup.

Coady was the one caught ball-watching and losing his player. Fine with game in front of him but he struggles with balls played into the channel forcing him to turn. Doesn’t have the pace to recover these positions.

I am not the type to bang on about us needing to bring in players

But i'm not going to lie, I would be disappointed if we go into our first season back in the Premier League with Boly/ Coady/ Bennett as our first choice back three, we definitely need another quality CB, with Ryan Benett as fourth choice.

Saiss is a perfectly servicable CM squad player for the Premier League along with Gibbs-White to add that impact sub option, we have plenty of attacking options with Jimenez, Bonatini, Jota, Costa and Cav

In my opinion Wolves need to drop any pursuit of Traore and with that £18m, buy a £10m CB and an £8m RWB to back up Doherty

The lack of cover for Doherty is worrying, if he gets injured we are stuffed - If I remember correctly, when he missed the Hull game last season we tried playing Afobe on RW and Cav on RWB and it was a total mess.

Yes Cav (or was it Costa) covering RWB. We were fortunate that Doc didn't get injured and in fact rarely does. But he's not bulletproof.

Totally agree about defence. Hause and Batth not really what we need if we're going to secure the back line either. Iorfa is around somewhere too.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Buur isn’t given more of a chance!

Maybe Nuno should have concentrated more on allowing Saiss and Coady to form a working relationship rather than dick around and giving the other squad players and youngsters pre-season game time.

Keep forgetting about Oskar. He likes to get forward - and score - so perhaps he could fill in for Doc.

Timmy maybe you should be in charge instead of Nuno. I’m sure you’d last a whole 1 game before you were sacked! It’s pre season, it’s for dicking around and giving youngsters a go.

I agree Manc but it did look as though there were positional understanding issues on Saturday which might be solved by training / gametime together. There was too much space between the 2 players and we couldn't cover quick balls played between them. I wouldn't write off the partnership between the 2 players just yet but I'm sure Nuno will have it sorted by next Saturday.

Saiss joined pre-season training late because of being involved in the World Cup so what's Nuno supposed to do? Plus he plays left sided CB for Morocco, not right sided CB so unbalances the back three. I'd prefer Bennett to him in that position albeit I would hope that we can get another CB in.

Preseason if for getting your team ready. If you don't form working relationships for the starting 11, then you've failed.
Where is it written that preseason if for giving kids a chance?
