If u look at the signings we made all except Raul played for us last season, that means that we haven't actually really improved the squad.

Rui Patricio might disagree with you.

I was only talking about the out field players, I agree Patricio is an excellent signing.

Maybe Nuno is showing faith with the squad that achieved so much last season. Maybe he feels that it only needs tweaking rather than the major overhaul so are suggesting.

At least the squad is effectively where it was at the end of last season (swapping Jimenez for Afobe), with the exception of a central midfielder (N'Diaye) so we have a good base to kick on. I think we would all agree that the squad from last season would compete in the Prem, so it was important to sign the loan players who Nuno thought were worthy to keep the status quo and allow us to compete.

Let's now see what Nuno and the hierarchy can pull out the bag to improve the squad. We all want marquee signings but they have to want to come and be value for money - Fosun are still a business and won't spend just for the sake of it. I personally wouldn't be surprised if we turn our backs on some of the rumoured players on the back of the World Cup and look elsewhere because of the ridiculous fees being bandied about.

But, as we all say, in Nuno we trust!

I think the nucleus of the side will remain the same. Nuno is looking to get rid of the players who are not part of his plans ie: Iorfa, Zyro, Gladon etc.

Wolves are trying to sign anyone good enough to improve the team. There will be no sentiment involved.

So who's going to leave for any new players to come in considering the vast majority of players signed last season and this summer are on long term contracts. Unless other clubs pay the money to compensate the remaining 2, 3 and 4 years left, they'll remain at the club.

{Ed002's Note - There will be more players leave, some being sold but Wolves may have to go down the road of loaning players out to address the FFP issues related to wages.}

The players sold will be the likes of Zyro, Gladon etc. Can't see many of last season's match day squad being moved on. Nuno will add to it to ensure strength in depth.
