I don't think Coven is too far out if you actually look at the squad not including loan players.
From our current squad i'd be happy starting each game with Coady (CB) Douglas and Doherty (WB) Neves and Saiss (DM) Jota, Cav, Costa (AM) .
Minimum additions to the squad would be a GK, 2 DM (1 if Boly signs) a CM, plus 2 CF (1 if we sign Afobe) . I also think some extra cover for Douglas and Doherty and another CM would be useful.
My dream team Butland, Coady Boly De Vries, Neves, Saiss, Wilshire, Gibbs White?, 2 From Jota, Cav, Costa, Aboubakar.

Let's say we sell or loan away Iorfa, Hause, Marshall, Graham, Enobakhare, Oniangue, Gladon (yes, still on our books), Deslandes, Ofusu-Ayeh, Mir, Zyro, Ebanks-Landell, Mason, Nazon and a goalie. That's 14 players.

We probably won't sign 14. But we could sign 7 or 8 including some good players including some of those on loan. That would make a decent squad, with some young players able to step up if necessary. We've seen Morgan, Burgoyne and Oskar. We also have Ronan, Golcalves, Wilson, Flatt, Jack Ruddy and probably a few others ready to make a bow in cup matches and pre-season.

Looking good, I reckon.
