Hi first time poster here been following this page for about a year finally decided to chip in. In regards to Bonatini I think that we shouldn't be quick to assume he won't cut it just because he played in a league not up to the standard or pace of the championship because statistics should do the talking. As I'm sure you already know he scored 20 goals in 37 games for Estoril a team that finished 8th that season so by no means a poor team but they are no Benfica or Porto with champions league quality players. Furthermore Bonatini will have Costa Cav Jota Graham Neves etc supplying him endlessly. Just putting it out there but happy to be corrected. Coyw!

Agree with prem. wolves. All good strikers have a natural instinct for goal, his stats and YouTube show that. Just because he is unknown doesn't mean he will struggle. With the right supply, which should be in abundance, he should do well. He's a loan player, no brainer!

It took Costa several months to adjust to Championship football, Teixeira never did. Apparently Bonatini only played 18 games last season. So it may take him time to adjust, and he may not have the stamina to be main striker across the season.

I'm really pleased we signed him, I think he's going to make a big contribution and be a success, but right now we don't know and it may take a while. But I'd love for him to get off to a flyer.

Not sure what happened with Texeira.
He looked better than Costa at the start of the season even though he only had limited previous experience. Then somewhere before December he just took his bat home. Then he fell off the map here and at Forest. I still think there is a player in there somewhere. Pity Nuno and his team never had a chance to work with him.
