According to reports Napoli are still in talks with Wolves for the sale of Kilman.If my calculations are right if Kilman @ Collins go that would be a 1oo mill Wolves would have got plus the savings of 300 thousand a week in wages. Now the question is can we spend the whole lot or not or do we have to keep some back for ffp can anyone answer this question.

Why would they sell Kilman, what is going on? Are we back to selling all of our best players instead of just the ones that can no longer do a job for us?

If we havnt got things in order we're going to be left high and dry, selling off the 'family silver'. Who's next to go? The ones who I thought would have gone ie. RAN podence jiminez hodge/Giles still with us, it can't be long. JL and Hobbs must have names and commitment from players to replace or its Premiership suicide.

I've seen that Dek123 Kilman has grown to be an integral part of our defence, so if we sell him as well as Collins and we've then got to buy a competent replacement, what's the point?

Is it that if they can make a good profit on any of our players they'll sell them? 'Things up their sleeves' had better feature in our transfer activities because for me this this makes little sense.

I accept and have in fact called for an overhaul of our squad but are they really open to selling anyone that attracts a decent offer? Time will tell I suppose.

Agree Longmynd, they might make a good profit now, but if you're not in the Premier the cost would be catastrophic in the long term.Notice I didn't use the R word. Along with everything else that's going on in the country it's making me feel very flat, I should be looking forward to the new season but at the moment I'm full of trepidation

The point is, I suppose, Longmynd that effective recruitment might secure a more than adequate replacement for say £15m leaving another £20m to spend where strengthening is needed. This building up of a potential war chest is very interesting but, of course, as ever it calls for wise spending. Not something we've been generally used to but January was certainly a move in the right direction.

The thing is, you can often secure better players for less. Not many would disagree that Dawson (£3m?)is a much superior player than Collins (sold for £20m more). Yes, Collins has potential but we've been playing that game and failed (Silva, Cutrone etc) so we need the here and now players who can deliver straightaway such as Lemina and Dawson.When the financial situation is sorted, and the club's league status stabilised, the acquisition policy may switch to the more long term again.

Don't disagree Old Wulf and I'm sure that's the policy, which is fine if they can attract better for less as you say, it's probably 'needs must' at the moment.

JL must be open to selling Kilman for the conversation to have developed this far so let's hope he knows who a replacement is and that he can get him.

I think kilman is worth nothing less than £40 mil.think he will go and sa and 4 more .but why are some panicking theirs no need to.they wouldn't let player go unless they got players lined up .by the end of selling we could have a big amount of money to spend in january.but let rest of premier League team's carry on spending big as they need to look over their shoulders.as ffp will pounce on them were doing it the proper way and future will look good
