England just doesn't have the playing quality at the moment. Watching Germany, Spain and usually France, Italy and Portugal play is a delight. With England it's painful, and goals are more of a relief than a celebration.

Well Wolves are doing their bit by including a couple of English players in the team. But I think we're turning Portuguese, I think we're turning Portuguese, I really think so.

England's problems arise from having a midfielder in Henderson who cannot pass forward. Every pass is sideways or backwards. Surely we have a better option.

No, we havnt henderson is a very good player I think since Gerrard went he has taken over the mantle he was injured for a bit last season if he wee to nick a few more goals he would be a very good player, I'd have him in my team.

Gerrard used to push forward more than Henderson and he had Lampard next to him to do the clever moves (a bit like Price and Edwards lol) I don't think Dele Alle offers the same type of play he is nippy but not always very clever so the midfield creativity is not there I don't know where England can find a good replacement for either.

The thing is you can't complain Gerrard with anyone he was a quality player who come around every 20 odd years, I'm saying henderson is a good centre mid who breaks up play and he can pass forward, with England we just ain't good enough in majors and won't be for fee years ahead, we havnt got anyone else to replace these players.

It's very rare that he does pass forward from the games I've seen him play in.
England will never win a trophy in my lifetime we are just not good enough.
The Germans are streets ahead of us in the way that they approach the picking of players and structure of team play.

Going back to 1966 World Cup we were rubbish in the group games but some how managed to get through the quarter final against the argies was more like a battlefield the argies were more interested in a war than playing football they had two players sent off and Alf Ramsay branded them as animals we started playing really well semi final Portugal and we all now what happened after that the hurst shot that hit the bar no one will ever now if it was in or not the 1970 World Cup a lot of fans thought we had a better team then than we had in 1966 we seemed to have a stronger squad.
