First time post for me, I'm a regular reader!

I live a few doors up from a senior steward who looks after the main players entrance on match days and always provides decent / accurate info.

Apparently we are not buying a new forward, when Costa returns Cav will take the central role as previously played there prior to joining us.

We may look at a young striker on loan from Arsenal?

The Bham mail are reporting a change of tack by Fosun in the striking dept, should the right player be available then they will go for him, due to the start we've made. I can only agree. ⚽️😉👍.

Gayle from Newcastle would be my first choice, second would be Bamford from borough, I was impressed with his link up play when he came on against us.

i wouldn't necessarily disagree with UAWS but what about when we get injuries to key players. Strengthen from a position of strength is my motto.

Neither Gayle or Afobe play as a lone striker. they normally play off someone so I can't see either down here.

I'm sure Uncle Mendes will have someone we've never heard of lined up. and hopefully he'll turn out to be a Costa not a Texiera.
Because if we're honest none of us had heard of-
Costa
Cav
Jota
Bonatini
And only a few of Neves.
In Nuno and Mendes we trust! 🙏.

Of the multitude of striker's names that have been bandied about this would be my preference in this order;

1 Aboubakhar
2 Afobe
3 Soares
4 Oliveira

Don't want Gayle or Bamford or Gallagher or Rhodes to be honest.

I might consider Peter Crouch but only if his Mrs agrees to become the pre-match entertainment in a cheerleader outfit!

My guess though is that it will be someone no-one has mentioned and few have even heard of before.

If we are to spend big then 100% sure will be Mendes client . agents commission back into Fosun through Gestitute.

I think we are going to have to look beyond Gestifute, Mendes has 6 CF's on his books.
I think it's safe to say Costa, Silva and Falcao won't be coming to Wolves. That leaves Soares, Oliveira or Hassan.
Hassan has just come back from long spell out and does not have the greatest scoring record, but was at Rio Ave
Oliveira has found the luv with Norwich, could just be butt kissing, who knows.
That only leaves Soares as a possibility
Mendes is also linked with Aboubakar but he seem settled at the moment.

Soares or Oliviera all day for me. Outside of those Afobe fits the bill of being good on the ball, linking play and good finisher. Compare the players around him to those that were round him during his final 6 months. if we get any of these 3 I'll be delighted.
