Just watched Pl on skysports news, he's going nowhere, looking forward to next season, already got bids in for a few players loves wolves and the fans, gets on great with owners, no more to be said.

The club need to make a statement then to stop the rubbish coming from the express and star.

I don't like the football he plays and I can't see him getting us up next year but we need some clarity now.

Pulled the wool over your eyes then? He used a lot of past tense and didn't give a lot away as you'd expect. Imo he's gone.

I may be wrong and feel free to disagree, but how many times do we see over the course of the season do we see clubs and owners give a manager a vote of confidence and then they get sacked? Maybe the club just want to keep quiet over all the rumours because theirs no truth in the rumours themselves.

I have also been watching PL on Sky Sports and though he did deny any rift and gave impression that he will be remaining at wolves, he did slip when he used the word “they” and quickly changed to “we”, it may be nothing but I had to ask myself why use the word “they” at all. Personally I have never been a huge fan of Lambert, however I do believe that right now we need stability and a platform to progress. Lambert has spoken of cutting squad size and where new players are needed. A new manager now would not have the right information to make these judgements without have the time and more importantly competitive game time to assess the current squad, I think this would result in a slow start to next season. In my opinion I would rather it be the other way around, give Lambert his chance with the knowledge he has gained and the funds to back him and if necessary re-evaluate in Oct/ Nov.

The Realist told us PL was staying over a week ago.

He is one of the only people on here with any credit.

The plot thickens . if Lambert is staying why he is saying back 26th June . what is happening with transfers . why no retained list and as such why no mention of who is being released . most clubs do this the week after the seasons end but again we have been told nothing . surely if Lambert is staying he would be involved in transfer talks . nothing makes sense . why is there no noise coming out of molineux to support Lambert . why no comment from Fosun . as usual we the fans will be the last to know . retired last year to Cornwall makes me wonder if the 500 mile round trip for home games is worth it or the longer distances to away games . 62 years of being a supporter and left to feel a nobody.

This is all getting a bit silly now. Come on Fosun, talk to us.

Confused about Lambert being sacked? It looked that way and may have been done, all bar the legal stuff, but it's entirely possible that Fosun changed their minds. 75% of fans apparently wanted Lambert to stay in the E&S survey.

E&S survey? 😂 Villa baggies and blues fans infiltrate that! Look at other forums for a truer indication.

I still agree with Paul Tamworth he's a goner could b a load of waffle on sky sports news.

If there was a chance Wolves could appoint SIlva or Karanka I would welcome it. Seems from the interview with Sky that PL will be staying after all. Perhaps Fosun have learnt their lesson from last year. Stick with Championship experience and see how it goes.

Bad start to the season an PL will be out by October. If he Wolves recruit well over the summer and have a good start, maybe there is an exciting season ahead?

PT is correct! He used the past tense and wants his years salary from his rolling year contract. You can't blame him for that! We need Marco Silva to step up and do a job like Eddie Howes down here. Hopefully, he has the same balls and ambition Eddie has. Except took the job on from league 1. I think he would be a great appt and be a very good manager for us that could turn out to be a great one. Back him Fosun with his team and let's start moving forward. The question is has MS got the balls to take it on? Hopefully, that answer is YES! 👍⚽️😉.

Wolvescoast do you think Marco silva would take the job but not be able to put together his own team he would have to have the players mendes brings in.

Its been fun reading the posts over the last few weeks, frankly I am none the wiser about next season. I do know that Fosun will let us know when all is decided and contracts in place. I cannot see a Prem manager coming to this club, mid championship table, potential relegation battle without quite a bit of expenditure, question marks over the structure and ambition. It really looks as though PL is about our level.

Just prey lamberts walks. far too much smoke. just wish the bleeding fire would start! Dross football. didn't do enough last season. Has to go!

NFFC is probably a guess based on rumour that Olympiacos owner just about to take control. Silva won Greek title with Olympiacos 2015/ 16. season. Interesting deduction but probably only that.
If Fosun discussed project with Silva last year, as we are led to believe they did and he declined because of lack of English at the time, then maybe just maybe, he would be interested now.
Problem is he is now a known quantity now and he wasn't last year. Choice is his and he now has a lot more options. Premier League now, with a lower half team or the chance to build something which financially could compete in top half of the Premier League. Bird in the hand might be sensible choice but you never know.

Brin6. Silva is Portuguese like Mendes and thus culturally have a better understanding of the man etc. He would I'm sure, only want players he would see who could do a job. He speaks more than one language and from what I can gather has a good team around him. He knows what he wants and I'm sure would do what he sees as best for the club and team. That may mean some EU players but you tell me a successful team in our top leagues that don't have them. ⚽️👍😉 Bring him on if he will come. Get on with it.

18 May 2017 20:44:45
PL said during Sky Sports interview that he was proud to have done the job at Wolves rather than saying he was proud to be doing it. All past tense.

BC I have nothing against lambert I just want to know who's going to be our manager. If you look at previous posts of mine I am backing lambert as I think he's showed he can get out of this division and you can't knock his only 2 signings as they have both been great into fitting into his system. However I can't agree with you saying lambert is definitely staying as I think it's strange nothing has come from the club. Also lambert does seem like he is speaking in past tense. hopefully all will be sorted and we can look forward to next season!
