There's going to be a big conflict of interests between Mendes, who wants to bring in more Portuguese players, and Lambert, who steadfastly wants British. Basically we are looking at an exciting foreigner coming in, only to be replaced by Richard Stearman after one game, who will be given a new 4 year contract, lol.

If Stearman is sign permanently come June I will be absolutely fuming! No wonder we are in so much trouble, as the squad is man up of players of the same standard as Stearman;NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP! Stearman should have been sent back to Fulham in January! We are really regressing under Lambert. He needs to wake up and smell the coffee the side he is playing is crap. Where's Saiss, Bodvarson needs to start over Dicko, the only good players we have at the mo is Costa and Ronan. Iorfa is only good when he's on good form. Just need a better lot of players, I'd like to see Ronan starting over mason who I've never rated in the first place. Have Edwards keep captain and Evans sent to league 2 where he belongs. Join Saville and Lonergan too. Loan out Iorfa to a prem side to get experience, and buy buy buy and get promoted simple as.

Buy buy buy! Get promoted simple! We have the 3rd biggest spend this year at 28 million. Its not about throwing money at it and getting a quick fix. Villa have spent 65 million this year, have had countless players coming and going and almost as many managers. It clearly doesn't work. We need maybe 2 or 3 seasons of progression under Lambert. Support him, let him do his job and get some stability back at wolves. There is no quick fix.

Pity we can't send Batth back to Fulham and keep Stears. When fully fit, Stears is definitely the better of the two.

Well you might laugh at these suggestions but, I did say give Edwards a go up front or just behind front man and it seams everyone seams to like the idea now with our striker situation, because he is not a skillful player and does not create much, but gives is best we have nothing to lose, you could put Saiss back in middle then, to be quite honest it's seams strange to me, how he cannot get in team with players we have, perhaps Lambert don't like him.
The other suggestion I said at the time was that we could do no worse than get Warnock in to manage us before Lambert on short term contract to get we sorted out, he nows what is needed in this division look what he done at Rotherham and what he is doing at Cardiff now with average players, horses for courses I say.
