I haven't heard anything but wouldn't it be worth trying to take Robbie Keane until end of season and see how it goes?

Been linked to Preston on a short term deal.

I know, but wages could be a problem there, just think could be worth a shout as we could do with someone who can score a few goals.

I would have loved Robbie in a few years ago. But, at his age of 36 and recent seasons in the MLS (League One standard? ) it would be taking a risk to sign him now. If he was one big wages, but not scoring, it could upset the dressing room. Good luck to Robbie and Preston though.

Keane would be awesome, you never know he did play with Lambert at Celtic and Lambert took him to Villa on loan so they know each other well enough, like everything with us will come down to wages though.

Don't know much about him?

Wolves don't need another left back, and they don't need another right back, either. Doc/ Hause on the left and Coady/ Iorfa on the right are fine. Change for the sake of it again in the wrong areas.

Agree, the focus has to be a new forward, masons goal on Saturday was the first goal from one of our forwards since August which is just embarrassing, Think Dicko proved again he's not a lone striker. Always played his best along side Afobe in my opinion.

Totally agree with you, I think in every other position for now we are fine, I know we could maybe get a better CM or CB but we need a goal scorer

oliver mcburnie of swansea would be a good choice for a striker played well against us last week scoring 2, not getting game time down here at the moment,

Considering Marshall is just a carbon copy of Coady, I don't see the point. Coady is starting to make a terrific right back and probably crosses better, too.

One CH, MF and Striker would be fine. Nothing more, just 3 quality signings in the right places.

Marshall is the replacement for Costa when he leaves he will probably start if a wingers gets injured. I think it's going to be interesting when Zyro comes back, whether he plays or not.

Coady's pass to Costa for that goal must be the pass of the season! I'm not sure about Marshall either. Implies Coady might be receiving interest from elsewhere. Or it might be that £1.4m isn't a lot of money at this level and Lambert can get him to punch above his weight.

Wolves011, please understand that Costa is a left winger and Marshall is a right back or right winger. Therefore, how in Gods name is he going to be Costa's replacement, lol?

Marshall is no better than Coady, in my opinion. Unless Coady is going to Newcastle for £5m, I can't really see the point of this transfer.

Wavid have to disagree regarding Costa's position. Although he seems to be almost equally comfortable on either his right or left side and he covers ground across the pitch, he has been playing wide right with Cav playing wide left. Zyro and Graham are both naturally left sided players so with Wallace being allowed to leave and no desire to bring Henry back we are short of cover on the right. Marshall prefers an attacking role. Whilst I would love Costa to be here next season we have to be realistic. He has already declared his desire to get back to Benfica and failing that Prem vultures will have noticed the quality.

I know they switch but Zyro and Cav are mainly on the right. Costa/ Graham left.

New to this site but had to comment on Costa's position. He has never lined up on the left for Wolves - despite him being predominantly left-footed. Jordon Graham is mainly right- footed but usually plays on the left - it's modern-day football innit?

Where do you get your sense of humour from Wavidsmith? I see you have put Coady's price up from £4m to £5m. He is such a limited footballer that he is worth £3/ 4m tops although he is doing a half decent fill in job at right backind. He struggles to run with the ball, pretty basic for a footballer really . If you honestly think Newcastle are interested in him I'd suggest that you go on Ebay to shop for a new crystal ball. Benitez is astute not stupid!

Newcastle want Coady. Don't ask me why. The price? Around the £4-£5m mark

and besides which, Coady is a really versatile player.

The only conclusion to be reached from the above is that Wavidsmith hasn't been to a game this season, or watched one on TV for that matter. Costa starts on the right every single game. Him and Cav switch for a max of 10/ 15 mins a game, and normally immediately following a Costa corner when he is out of position.

You're even wrong on Zyro, who started all of his Wolves appearances so far on the left or up top.

Going back to original point, I'd be surprised if there's anyone available who could replace what Costa has brought to the team. We therefore need to have options available, so Marshall seems like a good start to me.
