Ait-Nouri to Man City for £60 million.

16 Apr 2024 02:04:17
I wonder if Man City Will consider a player exchange with Nunez returning.

16 Apr 2024 02:09:10
No, Alt Nori has been enquired about by City with a cash plus player deal Sergio Gomez.

16 Apr 2024 06:03:27
Wasn't the source of this story the same one claiming that Jose Sa was off to Forest and Kilman to Napoli.

I'll believe it when it's official.

16 Apr 2024 07:02:28
There will now be weeks of speculation. The irresponsible culture of journalists making things up to keep their jobs!

16 Apr 2024 14:26:36
I personally wait until at least 3 reliable sources have stated things before posting rumours as a rule.

12 Apr 2024 20:42:02
Cunha, Hwang and Dawson will all be in the match squad tomorrow, Bellegarde not quite there yet.

10 Apr 2024 15:53:15
Well longtime since posting rumour page went wrong just to say with all the reports Neto Gomes Kilman will
be leaving if they get substantial money. If we sell all three for a total of 150 mill or more plus the players out on lone who we can sell gives GON a canny pot. Don't know what people think but Neto and Kilman I would for 100mill for both then get another 5or 6players in.

10 Apr 2024 17:44:19
Not related, reports coming out of Spain are saying Pep is ready to offload Matheus Nenes this summer (and four other players). Apparently he's failed to impress Pep.

11 Apr 2024 14:34:12
Nunes thought he was better than he actually is, karma is sweet.

11 Apr 2024 18:17:58
He could have been the Star man/ lynchpin of this team, and he would have been loved by the fans.

But he chose the money and the role of the forgotten man and the fans will turn on him.

12 Apr 2024 23:30:24
Tbh glad he went, Gomes is leaps and bounds better than him.

16 Apr 2024 10:02:58
Neto and kilman for £100 million Jesus you are deluded!

08 Apr 2024 08:22:56
We're being linked with Ansu Fati again, he hasn't exactly pulled up trees at Brighton, who incidentally are not going to sign the forward.

08 Apr 2024 13:08:02
Fabio Silva was hardly impressive against Celtic yesterday. Lost possession a number of times. Booked for diving in the box, but overruled and a penalty given. The jury is out on him. Word is that Wolves will move him on at a massive loss. If he can't hack it in Scotland, where can he?

09 Apr 2024 14:27:25
One player linked to when Nuno was coach was Mexico international attacking center midfielder Obelin Pineda, I would love to see him in a Wolves uniform.

De Winter is quick when he gets ball great to watch.

Che Adams would be good up too maybe, good shot.

10 Apr 2024 09:23:09
Suggested Che Adams for us last year or even longer than that.
Divided opinions I've seen on here regarding che Adams.
My opinion stays as it always has in that he would be a good signing for us.

10 Apr 2024 13:54:39
I’d sign Fati definitely. But only because of the quality songs we could sing in the Southbank.
Che Adams? No thank you, not with his record and goals per game tally. We can, should and will, attract better than that

10 Apr 2024 14:45:59
Lol Halftimepie re fatty songs.

My thinking with che Adams an adequate back up squad player with the never know if we/GON can bring him on a better goal/assist output.
I believe he is better than his record suggests.
Of course just my opinion mate as is yours.
COME ON WANDERERS 👌

15 Apr 2024 10:31:56
Steve Bull was better than his record suggested when he signed for Wolves from West Brom. If Gary sees something in Che Adams, that's good enough for me.

03 Apr 2024 14:22:37
According to Keen on X in January O'neil told Fosun about our small squad and the impact injuries could have on it.

03 Apr 2024 17:42:45
For the first time you could see and hear the frustration from O Neil in his interview after the Burnley game, could he possibly walk if he is not backed in the summer, he has built up his reputation and would get another job no problem.

03 Apr 2024 19:30:12
I think if Fosun don't back him and he walks there will be a lot of backlash from the fans.

04 Apr 2024 06:45:41
Shi has been charged with generating €100 million for squad investment this season. So far, nothing!
Our 3 owners, Guo Guangchang, Wang Qunbin and Liang Xinjun, need to sort out a decent commercial CEO or their investment and our beloved Club will flounder!

04 Apr 2024 08:52:37
Looks like its that time of year when Shi becomes the pantomime villian again.

Is this the same Jeff Shi who sanctioned the signings of:

Nunes, Cunha, Dawson, Bellegarde, Gomes, Lemina, Costa, Sarabia, Hwang etc for 177m euros since the summer of 2022.

The same Jeff Shi who was forced to sell players as we were very close to falling foul of FFP.

We could spend money like Nottingham Forest, Everton and Leicester and be sanctioned for breaching the rules.

Or we could be happy with being in the top half of the table and financially stable.

04 Apr 2024 10:10:54
Jas I really don't understand?
This is the same CEO who wasted, with Sellars circa £50 million (including wages, so far) on Silva. Sactioned the signings of Guedes circa £27 million, Hoever (didn't work for us)
Kalajdzic, circa £20million etc etc.
The players you highlight:
Cunha, Dawson, Bellegarde, Gomes and Doyle.down to Hobbs and his team identifying
Lemina, Sarabia.Lopetequi sourced
ps how is getting on raising the €100million his bosses have tasked him with?!

04 Apr 2024 12:05:53
Rugeley, true, but as CEO, who appointed Hobbs, and who did he answer to.

He may have authorised some dud signings but he does not scout and source the players himself. He has a team that does that on his behalf. Yes we have signed players that proved to be below value but then name me a club which hasn't made the odd, below quality player.

For example - Chelsea selling De Bruyne and Salah as they weren't deemed good enough.
Man Utd refusing to sign Haaland as they didn't rate him.

Mistakes happen but why is it that Silva and Guedes are the yardstick by which Shi is measured? Why do people not remember the likes of Patricio, Neves, Moutinho, Raul, Coady etc that he oversaw.

04 Apr 2024 14:26:07
Sorry Jas, you make good points, but we do see this differently.
The players you highlight, were mainly brought in via Mendes at the beginning of the 'project'.
Then Shi sacked many of the senior team and was very public about him directly managing the Club. He appointed Sellars and for me it those 3 years after Santo left which have created the current situation.

04 Apr 2024 16:41:48
I admit that things could have been better over the last 3 seasons but I'm happy with where we are now. 10th place, 3 points off 7th, game in hand against the team in 7th and a possible European place and on a sound financial footing. Surely Shi should get some credit for this season.

04 Apr 2024 18:59:14
Haha, in fairness to Rugeley we had the exact same debate about two weeks ago! Like I said then Shi is FAR from perfect but we could certainly be a lot worse off! 🤣👍

05 Apr 2024 06:18:32
We did Bully, we did.
I just hope after the recent good work done, we don't find ourselves back to square 1 in the summer.

05 Apr 2024 14:48:02
On that Rugeley we can definitely agree buddy, we simply MUST have a good window! Else short term we won't progress but long term we likely could/would lose GON! 👍

05 Apr 2024 21:23:07
I think if he's not given financial backing he will walk, especially with the teams he's being linked too we need urgent investment as in my opinion although league position is great we seem to be taking steps back rather than pushing on

05 Apr 2024 22:02:26
How are we taking steps backwards?

06 Apr 2024 08:46:13
Fully agree with you Jas M. Of course Wolves have had some transfer mishaps along with most other clubs but overall I think Jeff Shi has done a very good job and should take a lot of credit. Let’s all be grateful for the drastic actions taken last summer when faced with FFP!

06 Apr 2024 21:18:50
We made a positive impact when returning to premier league I understand with FFP and keeping it under control but why get us in that position in the first place we possibly now have one of the smallest groups in the league and it's starting to show with fatigue. I just think that if the finances were managed properly we would be taking that next step and pushing up the league.
Instead we fear losing players and a manager who is working wonders with the budget and squad he has at his disposal

09 Apr 2024 15:46:34
Do you want a larger squad of less talented players?
The money would have to be spread out over more players.
We are in a reasonable position considering our revenue situation.

29 Mar 2024 14:30:06
Update on Matheus Cunha's injury as Gary O'Neil confirms he will play for Wolves either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Source Liam Keen.

29 Mar 2024 17:09:27
Coventry game needed him let him rest got sod all to play for now

29 Mar 2024 23:26:10
Nothing to play for?

I take it you're not being serious.

29 Mar 2024 23:38:14
We're literally 3 points away from a European spot with a game in hand.

30 Mar 2024 09:24:12
Plenty to play for, like the fans that pay good money to support the Wolves, or, a spot playing European football? Just thinking aloud.

30 Mar 2024 13:10:38
Pretty sure Yam Yam is a wum gents. Only two posts I can see is one saying we have nothing to play for when we have Euros in sight and the other one saying we should be envious of the shambles that is the Blue noses! It's not even subtle Yam yam! 🤣

31 Mar 2024 11:50:29
We keep improving in many areas, a lot of positives from yesterday's performance.
Had Ryan finished the first half chance probably different game. Two errors for the goals the difference.First goal switched off, 2nd goal Tommy gives it away middle of park.
Looking forward to remaining games.Dawson back along with Cunha and Hwang, 9 games left, Europe still alive. And don't say we don't need Europe!Stepping stone to top 5, I mean Villa Champs League next season, we are better and but for slow start and small squad/ injuries would be up there.Dont leave Gary!

26 Mar 2024 22:19:50
A lot of paper talk stating that Man Utd want to speak to GON regarding a role at Old Trafford.

Eds, is there anything in this or is it just clickbait?

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest and he is not one of the coaches they have been looking at.}

27 Mar 2024 11:04:57
Why would he leave a job as a manager to go and play 2nd fiddle to another manager in a coach role? Doesn’t make sense.

27 Mar 2024 11:06:40
Bizarrely Jas it reads like they are suggesting that they would take Southgate and then GON would join him as a route of succession to the top job (replacing Southgate long term). Seems nonsensical to me as that (literally) wouldn't really suit any of the parties involved! Why would GON want to leave a Managers role to be a back up plan which in all reality would never happen anyway?! Very weird, it basically feels like they have no actual jobs to realistically tie him with so now they are just creating roles to tie him with?! Standard paper talk 🙄

27 Mar 2024 13:31:03
The rumour came from ESPN take it with a very large pinch of salt they've never been right about anything Wolves related.

27 Mar 2024 14:12:32
If the rumour about GON wanted for a coaching role at Man U is true, it's completely disrespectful and even laughable. He's nobody's number two! GON is going nowhere for now. And, if we play our cards right and sell well/invest well in the summer, Gary can take us into the top six next season. We've seen what he can do without a preseason at Bournemouth and Wolves; imagine what he can do when properly prepared and backed.

27 Mar 2024 14:21:34
Probably speculation based on GON looking for an improved Wolves deal.

29 Mar 2024 17:10:44
do well to get that odd jeff shi blues are on about a new ground more then the wolves owners doing

29 Mar 2024 21:56:52
Haha, anyone can talk about things. Blues have also 'talked' about getting promoted! Judge an owner by there achievements rather than there hyperbole! Besides which, what use will a new ground be to Brum when they are playing in League One excalty?! 😂

21 Mar 2024 17:03:12
Apparently Liverpool are looking to sign players who may or may not fit into the new managers plans whilst Jim Ratcliffe is buying players for Man Utd even though he isn't sure who he wants as his manager.

Rumours have started that Ratcliffe wants to sign Joao Gomes for £40m.

I think he's undervalued him by £100m

22 Mar 2024 06:37:35
I get the rumour part, £40m seems to be undervalued.

Wolves don't need to sell to comply with PSR rules (formerly FFP). So if they do decode to sell, it won't be for "fire sale" rates.

23 Mar 2024 11:31:55
The Sun reporting Klopp has recommended RAN as a liverpool signing, that said does anyone connected to Liverpool deal with the Sun.

{Ed001's Note - no. But they are happy to steal any story they see anywhere else, so it doesn't necessarily mean that someone spoke to them direct. They could have made it up or read someone else saying it.}

23 Mar 2024 12:57:52
So incoming managers have to make due with players they never chose? Why is that an issue with Gary, then? Is he special?

23 Mar 2024 13:51:22
Don't ever mention the Sun in Liverpool.

19 Mar 2024 18:43:53
Wolves keeping an eye on Eddie Nketiah who has been told he can leave Arsenal.

Wolves looking to offload Fabio Silva for £15m

Both rumours by Talking Wolves.

19 Mar 2024 21:01:20
I think they would be making a mistake with Nketiah, unless he can play centre half! .May as well stick with Silva.

19 Mar 2024 22:04:42
My thoughts to.

20 Mar 2024 10:41:37
Be just like aesenal to offer him in a player/cash deal for neto

20 Mar 2024 10:52:44
Unless the circumstances are unusual a club like Arsenal wouldn't let a top player go.

20 Mar 2024 12:10:13
That's the problem. Nketiah isn't a top player.

20 Mar 2024 13:07:11
Exactly Jas!

16 Mar 2024 15:18:52
edro Neto ruled out for some time with a hamstring injury. He may return by the end of the season, but it'll be close. A massive blow for Wolves.
