I haven't heard anything but wouldn't it be worth trying to take Robbie Keane until end of season and see how it goes?

16 Jan 2017 09:47:02
Been linked to Preston on a short term deal.

16 Jan 2017 10:03:58
I know, but wages could be a problem there, just think could be worth a shout as we could do with someone who can score a few goals.

15 Jan 2017 17:46:55
£1.3m bid in for Ben Marshall. £4m for Sam Gallagher being considered by Southampton.

Also Wallace, Teixeira, Borthwick-Jackson and Oniangue set to depart.

15 Jan 2017 18:06:30
Wheres that come from?

15 Jan 2017 19:47:49
Good knowledge and bang on
Marshall deal as good as done.
Money available so expect us to get deal over the lines or Gallagher.
Helder gets me off my seat.
We need to do our part as fans to win his heart.

15 Jan 2017 20:51:15
Marshall and Gallagher load of rubbish Chinese won't spend big Pl said that on WM he said Villa got more spending power than WW

15 Jan 2017 21:08:01
Here we go another whinger come out of the woodwork

15 Jan 2017 21:17:57
No he said villa can't match wba spending. check Google.

15 Jan 2017 21:51:24
As though PL is going to tell everyone that we've got loads of cash to spend c'mon think about it

15 Jan 2017 22:46:07
What are you thinking realist? Jewellery? Or something simple like chocolates and flowers?

16 Jan 2017 00:21:40
Marshall deal is preparation for Costa departure at the end of the season. Gallagher deal would be amazing but can we get it sorted before rest of the league wake up.

15 Jan 2017 16:30:45
Wolves are in advanced talks with FC Utrecht striker Sebastien Haller - the deal is involves cash plus Paul Gladon who wants to return to his native Holland.

BB

15 Jan 2017 16:59:30
Where did this information come from bb?

15 Jan 2017 17:04:29
Would cost 4 to 5 million.

15 Jan 2017 17:24:13
I mentioned Haller over the summer as he has a very good strike rate. There was a very tenuous link back then. Would be a very good signing. Look at his stats.

15 Jan 2017 17:54:39
Haller would surely cost more than that? He's an excellent player wanted by Swansea, etc. If it is true, would be an excellent addition.

15 Jan 2017 18:02:31
Haller valued in excess of £6m and has no Championship experience which PL said is essential so seems highly unlikely.

15 Jan 2017 18:03:56
I totally agree Wavid if its true

15 Jan 2017 18:18:24
signing both Gallagher AND Haller would give me an orgasm, lol. In this case, there may well be a great deal of truth in the Dicko to Fulham rumour and I also fully expect Bristol City to be bidding £5m for Mason again in the coming weeks.

15 Jan 2017 18:55:20
signing Marshall tells me two obvious things: 1. Iorfa will depart to West Ham, and 2. Coady may be going back up North to Newcastle. Both are valued at over £4m.

15 Jan 2017 22:44:46
Marshall wants to leave because he keeps getting played at RB. He is a winger so why would he want to play a position he hates at another club?

15 Jan 2017 23:43:06
We got no chance with haller

16 Jan 2017 09:35:09
You meant £4 for Coady surely Wavid. No way would Benitez be interested in him unless he has a brain transplant!

15 Jan 2017 11:01:57
Hearing we've made an improved bid of £1.25m for Marshall.

15 Jan 2017 15:13:27
Should get him now

14 Jan 2017 16:43:40
No Williamson? Not injured I hope.

15 Jan 2017 08:24:15
Can anybody confirm that the new hull city manager marco silva is the same manager that we wanted before appointing zenga and prior 2 lambert

15 Jan 2017 08:40:55
Yes, Marco Silva is the same one that wouldn't come to Wolves. He looks to have captured that 'new manager bounce' at Hull. I'd like to see them claw their way out of trouble at the expense of Crystal Palace or West Ham.

15 Jan 2017 08:48:23
Yes it is, ex Olympiakos boss

15 Jan 2017 13:19:29
Was second choice after guy who took over Spanish national side. Didn't, t speak any English at that point but started lessons to be better placed if English opportunity arose in future. Could hav me got him after Zenga but we chose to go the Championship experience route.

Will do a really good job at Hull and probably keep them up. Be interesting to see how he does compared to English route Sam Allardyce, who has probably got a better squad at Crystal Palace than Silva has at Hull.

15 Jan 2017 16:34:21
Silva has only signed a contract until the end of the season is my understanding. 👍😉

15 Jan 2017 16:34:45
At Hull that is! 😉

13 Jan 2017 22:49:10
Hang on a minute I don't know how bad or good this new guy is but my issue is we have to trim our squad because it's too big and if any players were going to be signed it would be to go straight into the first team squad. these are words straight from Lamberts mouth.
Come on. what's going on!

14 Jan 2017 00:53:09
Borthwick Jackson and Ola John have both left or are due to go imminently. I personally don't see what Duckens Nazon will bring to the team as his stats aren't particularly good. For him to go into the U23 squad is perplexing. Mind you that's probably the reason I'm not a football manager. Hopefully Lambert knows something that the stats are hiding.

14 Jan 2017 09:00:08
Lambert definitely hasn't had a say about Duckens or whatever his name is. Don't be surprised if he's not Dicko's replacement. Today Mighty Wolves 2 villa 1 👍

14 Jan 2017 09:04:19
Calm down Tim, it's a 6 month contract. They have seen some good points like strength and speed and have decided worth persevering with in training to try and improve him. Worth a shout as won't affect the real issues financially

14 Jan 2017 09:09:30
Funny how this Nazon suddenly turned up the day Mendes flew to the Far East to sort out the Chinese Costa deal. He was no doubt getting around some weird tax law by offloading a crap eastern player to us in return of a favour with the Costa deal, or similar.

14 Jan 2017 09:10:36
We have taken 2 forwards from the u23 squad in bright and ronan. It would make sense to bring in a forward until the end of the season so that the squad isn't short. Lambert is still looking at moving players out so be patient

14 Jan 2017 09:16:52
I'm also guessing Bristol City will bid for Mason again this window (£5m), Newcastle will bid for Coady (5m) and West Ham with Iorfa (£5m) . Don't be surprised to see them go.

14 Jan 2017 09:50:42
Wavidsmith, when did Mendes fly out to China then? I'd use another airline if I was him because Nazon has been training with the team for just over 2 weeks. I hear you can get to China in about 10 hours nowadays.

14 Jan 2017 10:40:12
Mendes is in China sorting Costa's move from Chelsea - 100%.

14 Jan 2017 11:34:18
Calm down. Duckens is a red herring. He's not the top striker we need, not meant to be, and this won't stop us signing someone else.

Duckens going into the Under 23s indicates we are having a look at him. If he can't break through into the first team, we will release him in May. His stats aren't good but nor were Steve Bull's when we signed him.

14 Jan 2017 12:33:47
All I was trying to say was that whenever Mendes has his finger in a pie (and I guarantee that the Costa / Chinese link has secretly been brewing for way longer than 2 days), a lot of weird things occur from the East (as he tries to fiddle the books, lol) .

Nazon has definitely come about from Mendes negotiating heavily with the new Chinese Super League who are pulling in players from the Middle East, etc. Why would Lambert scout a player from India?

14 Jan 2017 13:02:53
Mendes spends his life on the phone. My own take is that he sorted Nazon to come over last month as his eyes have been lighting up over the Costa, and other multi million pound deals, coming to fruition.

The saddest part is that an agent's job was always to look after the welfare of their client, but now they actually try to unsettle them for their own gain. Needless to say Costa won't care when he's on £500K after tax a week, lol.

14 Jan 2017 13:27:12
Thelwell was scouting the COPA America tournament where Haiti were playing. Nazon scored 2 goals for Haiti in this tournament I have read. So this signing has came from Thelwell

14 Jan 2017 15:01:54
Either way, I can't see it being a PL choice.

14 Jan 2017 15:45:48
Don't know why people are jumping to conclusions based on Mendes being in China. He probably is, but Nazon has never played in China and has no links to Chinese football, he played in the Indian league.

We've signed him on an initial 5 month contract where he will go into the U23s on a recommendation from our scouts. If he's any good and what the scouts have seen materialises, we have a further 1 year option. We've taken him on a free and will be paying I would imagine, not a huge sum for his wages.

Stop looking for conspiracy, we've signed unknown players before e.g. Kightly etc and some will work out and some will not.

13 Jan 2017 19:23:21
wolves to lose 4 - 1
unexpected signing due next week I think
the realist is our dream manager.

13 Jan 2017 22:48:48
Na don't think we will lose be draw 1-1 more likely

13 Jan 2017 17:08:37
Duckens Nazon signs till the end of the season like I told you all ;)

13 Jan 2017 17:17:32
Wow a player, business all done then.

13 Jan 2017 17:19:52
hi guys new to the site always been a wolves fan and I will till I die, is this guy any good felix? seems a bit of a punt in my eyes hope to be wrong though

13 Jan 2017 17:36:39
Well done Felix. No the big decision is will his nickname be Daffy or Donald?

13 Jan 2017 17:45:20
Straight into U23 s wow what a scoop that was!?

13 Jan 2017 18:03:53
Hardly news though Felix considering he's been training with us for the last 2 weeks.

13 Jan 2017 18:53:04
Dont think he is a first team player. i'm a bit confused by this signing even though he is going into the u23 squad. What will that do for morale of the plyers who have come through the ranks?

13 Jan 2017 18:54:17
Agree with clive what a geat bit of buisness! no goals coming from strikers so we sign a guy who has scored 2 in 13 and goes straight in to the under 23 squad hope i'm wrong but looks a rubbish deal to me

13 Jan 2017 19:12:55
so we replace Gladon with someone who has even worse stats, lols. Could be another Benteke, or, most likely, another Gladon.

13 Jan 2017 19:29:05
Free, 6 month contract only 22. It's basically a 6 month trial to run the rule over him. Seems like a common sense bit of business to me

13 Jan 2017 20:54:17
My comment wasn't meant to be seen as slagging the guy off. It's just footballers tend to have a nickname. I ain't got a clue whether he's good or not. Time will tell. Let's hope he gets in the first team and bangs in 15 goals by the end of the season.

13 Jan 2017 23:08:33
The guy is free and probs low wages so why not take a punt? He has experience too . . in the Indian league yes there is one!

14 Jan 2017 11:54:56
Must be hot stuff if he came from India

12 Jan 2017 16:38:35
Sam Winnall having medical at Sheffield Wednesday.

12 Jan 2017 19:26:48
So what! We let him go because he wasn't good enough. Never look back.

12 Jan 2017 19:52:02
No doubt he will carry on scoring. to slow once again unless he not good enough. but with our budget would of been a good signing as he does what he's paid to do.

12 Jan 2017 19:59:51
Huh he wasn't good enough or wolves staff made a mistake? he's scoring goals for fun. you can't be to proud mate when your struggling at the bottom half of the league.

12 Jan 2017 21:38:47
Wednesfield, I may be wrong here but did anyone say at the time we released him that we were making a mistake or did we all think that there was no way that the 22 year old who had been loaned out to 4 lower league sides and failed to prove himself would get into the team ahead of Steven Fletcher, Kevin Doyle and Sylvan Ebanks Blake.

12 Jan 2017 22:44:38
Jas M I read your comment's a lot on here and to be honest you are the one who says don't bring up the past. You mention Winnall wasn't good enough, he obviously is now. Can you remember the last time one of our strikers scored? Winnall has a hat full and will continue to score. You also mentioned the OLD strikers we had, you mean Steve "the traitor" Fletcher, Kevin "5 goals in 5 seasons" Doyle and fatty ebanks. Why not go all the way back to Steve "20 goals a season" bull and Andy "perfect strike partner" mutch. We NEED a striker and a striker that can score, Winnall would have been great for us regardless whether he had played for us as a youth or not! Yet another bargain slipped through our fingers.

12 Jan 2017 23:42:09
If 'Another one slips through the net' is the argument then why don't we save our money and just persist with Enokobahare, Bodvarsson, Dicko and Joe Mason who are all younger than Winnall. Bodvarsson is class, Mason has scored at this level, Dicko will find his form again and Bright is the future.

13 Jan 2017 07:38:42
Bright playing centre midfield? Bod may be quality but doesn't score, Dicko is a shadow of himself and doesn't score, Mason is busy but doesn't score. You can't go through a season with 5 goal a season strikers and rely on Edwards and Costa to get the goals. We either need to play 4-4-2 with bright or Mason playing off Bod or get a class striker that can play up front on his own and still score

13 Jan 2017 07:45:39
Pompey, the point is that Winnall didn't score when he was here before so we let him go. Should we do the same to the players I mention then complain in 5 years time how we made a mistake.

13 Jan 2017 08:15:15
I get that jas but you can't keep looking at what players did before. He has obviously improved and scores goals. I love bright and he has to play up front or he is wasted. Ennis will be great too. What I'm saying is we need to be competitive and we can't do that if our strikers don't score.

13 Jan 2017 10:11:34
You guys are right Winnall didn't score for the first team mainly because he didn't play for the first team. I seem to remember though for the under 23s or whatever it was he was constantly scoring.
He left because he was not offered a decent contract.

13 Jan 2017 10:21:13
Price is off to Bastia on loan

13 Jan 2017 10:32:46
Pompey for manager he obviously knows it all

13 Jan 2017 11:06:10
Sam grew up in my village vile attitude which is why he was moved on from Wolves another primadonna NOT what we want going forward.

13 Jan 2017 11:30:23
Wolves till I die, it's just my opinion as others have theirs. Our strikers aren't doing the business so surely we need to look at that area just like our defence leaks too many goals. We don't have to spend millions to get decent players. Let's get some of the deadwood off the payroll and improve on what we currently have

13 Jan 2017 11:40:41
Let Lambert carry on what he is doing, seams to be getting it all right at the moment, we have to face facts that it is going to take time to sort this lot out and I have to say Lambert is like a bit of fresh air at the moment with is team selections as he as surprised everybody me included.

One things for sure if there good enough they are old enough in Lamberts opinion and they will start, okay we do need some players of experience to go with the players we have and Lambert nows that he is not stupid, you have to agree Wolves fans we are slowly getting there and we don't want to get into panic buying just for the sake of it and waste more money on average players.

I have to say I am enjoying the ride again we look more organised and the sooner we climb up the league the better.
Come on you Wolves we can beat the Villa do it for Lambo.

13 Jan 2017 12:25:22
Wolves011, how have you read a story about Oniangue potentially moving on loan and then mistaken him for Jack Price?

13 Jan 2017 12:29:11
Pompeywolf, you are absolutely correct of course with your comments about strikers. we need a couple of quality tried and tested that can do that. Strike that is, actually score goals regularly. This is what makes the difference between an also ran team and one that's going places. They cost money and as each season goes by more and more. So the logical conclusion has to be search them out and get them. Now that is! Not easy I know! But we need to go get them. Costa has to be a priority because he has what it takes in this league and I have no doubt the premier league too. We can't just rely on our wingers and DE can we? 😉👍

13 Jan 2017 12:30:12
Agreed big wolf. Spot on 😉

13 Jan 2017 15:17:38
Jas M I find my articles on news now, Sky and Sports Witness. All of whom I trust especially Sports Witness which I have a contact.

13 Jan 2017 15:49:10
Leon Clarke! enough said.

13 Jan 2017 15:47:24
WolvesayWe91 you may have been right about his attitude but from all accounts he was offered a contract but turned it down because it was a pretty low one.

13 Jan 2017 17:45:28
Wolves011, I read the newsnow article and I thought it said Oniangue was moving on loan to Bastia. Guess I was wrong.

14 Jan 2017 08:42:15
"Prince to Bastia" not Price

14 Jan 2017 09:15:36
It is oniangue not price.

12 Jan 2017 16:31:13
ola john set for a med on friday in spain, announced by spanish press, one off the wage bill then,

RIP G T,

13 Jan 2017 13:34:35
how much do we reckon off wage bill? its a start whatever.

13 Jan 2017 16:10:56
As a percentage not much he was on loan and my guess is that young players in Portugal don't earn much so probably 1 percent of the wage bill!
